Thirteen Israeli hostages set to be released from Gaza

00:00 13 Israeli women and children are expected to be freed from Gaza on Friday as part of
00:06 a four-day ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel.
00:10 Qatar, which helped broker the agreement, said they would be the first batch of hostages
00:14 released.
00:15 Here's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari.
00:19 They will be 13 in number, all women and children, and those hostages who are from the same families
00:26 will be put together within the same patch.
00:29 Obviously every day will include a number of civilians as agreed to total 50 within
00:34 the four days.
00:36 The first pause in seven weeks of war involves a comprehensive ceasefire in north and south
00:41 Gaza, though fighting raged on in the hours leading up to it.
00:46 According to Egypt, which also served as a mediator in the deal, 200 aid trucks will
00:51 be allowed into the Hamas-ruled enclave daily, along with deliveries of gas and diesel.
00:58 Israel is expected to release 150 Palestinian women and minors in jail there during the
01:03 ceasefire.
01:04 And has said it would extend the truce by one day for every extra 10 captives freed
01:09 from Gaza.
01:10 Our aim is for this deal to end with a lasting truce.
01:14 Meanwhile, Qatar says it hopes the four days of exchanges will buy the two sides time to
01:20 figure out a lasting truce to put an end to the deadly violence.
