00:00 and an actor originally from New York City, Macaulay Culkin."
00:04 Macaulay Culkin is trying his luck at celebrity Jeopardy!
00:09 just in time for the holiday season.
00:11 The Home Alone star made a rare appearance on the hit game show's
00:14 quarterfinals on Wednesday, and joked about how he has been a clue himself.
00:19 "Now we looked into our database, we found that you have been part of
00:22 a Jeopardy! clue like 42 times over your career. Those are very impressive numbers."
00:28 "Look mom, I'm famous. I'm a factoid. I'm trivial."
00:32 "I don't know if you're going to be on the board today."
00:36 "That would make it so much easier. For real. I'd be so much less nervous."
00:41 "If all the clues could be about the three of you, right?"
00:43 "Yes."
00:43 Macaulay faced off against SNL alum Rachel Dratch and WWE superstar Becky Lynch
00:50 as they battled it out for charity.
00:52 During the show, the 42-year-old shared what non-profit he was there to support.
00:56 "Who are you playing for here today, Mac?"
00:58 "Playing for the San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Alliance. I'm sure a lot of people are familiar
01:02 with it, but it's a place that's near and dear to me and my family's heart. They work on
01:06 conservation and the relationship between wildlife and people, and try to make it better."
01:13 Although Macaulay had an impressive number of correct answers,
01:16 it was Rachel who took home the top prize. Later in the show, the Richie Rich actor
01:21 also shared how he prepped for the categories with the help of someone special.
01:26 "Oh yeah, my lady, she had a whole bunch of flashcards. Whether I was in the mood or not,
01:29 she just kept on just asking me questions, you know, like a normal day."
01:33 "Wow. She made flashcards?"
01:35 "Yeah, yeah. She had all kinds of questions. She threatened to bring them on the ride over
01:39 here and I was like, 'Enough is enough.' I'm already all nervous."
01:43 "Not tonight, I have a headache."
01:44 "Yeah, exactly."
01:45 "Did you have a lot of bacon questions?"
01:46 "Sadly, no. But we were brushing up on our cheerleading, though."
01:50 "Okay, good. Okay."
01:50 "And he said hi to Brenda. I assume that's your flashcard, buddy."
01:54 "Hi."
01:55 "Well done. Brenda, you did good work. McCauley played so well today. You wagered
01:59 all of it. $16,800, bringing you to $33,600.
02:04 It's going to be tough to beat, but Rachel Dratch had the lead going into final and she wrote down..."
02:09 "I think I messed up my math."
02:11 "No, I think we can read that."
02:14 "I think I messed up my math."
02:15 "Who is Salvador Dali? That's all correct. I can read that. And you wagered,
02:20 here's the math part, $10,601, which will give you $33,601."
