00:00 President Moon, it's a pleasure to welcome you to Downing Street today, and I hope you're
00:03 enjoying your visit.
00:04 Your state visit underlies the deep partnership and friendship between our two countries,
00:09 and the signing of the Downing Street Accords today strengthens that friendship.
00:13 From defense and security to trade and technology, we are already cooperating in lots of different
00:19 areas, but that cooperation will also be matched by the private sector by our agreement to
00:24 upgrade and strengthen our FTA and the very welcome 20 billion pounds plus of investment
00:30 from Korean companies into the United Kingdom.
00:33 That investment is a huge vote of confidence in the UK and a symbol of our close cooperation,
00:38 and I'm looking forward to discussing all of these things with you this afternoon.
00:43 Mr. Prime Minister, first of all, I would like to thank you for your work on hospitality,
00:51 and it is really a personal honor to be here at this historic place, number 10 Downing
00:55 Street.
00:56 I mean, it began – the history began when the first Prime Minister Walpole began to
01:00 use this as his residence.
01:02 It was when the principle that the king reigns but does not governs began, and also when
01:08 the British parliamentary politics at the parliament began with the Tories and Quakes
01:13 now forming its own party.
01:15 So it is really a personal honor and privilege to be here.
