00:00 So there's quite a few injury updates for Manchester United heading into this weekend's
00:04 game against Everton. On Wednesday there was news surrounding two pretty influential defenders
00:10 with Luke Shaw back in training. A big boost for United and Ten Hag because the defender
00:14 hasn't actually played in three months and he played a really influential role last season
00:18 for United, certainly defensively in terms of their ability to stop the opposition but
00:23 in terms of their build up play from the back, his link play with Marcus Rashford I think
00:28 has been really important in that aspect. Luke Shaw, so they'll be delighted to have
00:32 him back. I'm not sure whether he's going to be available to start though but I do suspect
00:36 he will be in the squad for Sunday's game. Lissandra Martinez was also back at Carrington
00:40 on Wednesday. United being vague about whether exactly he did train or not but he certainly
00:47 observed the session. There is a picture of him wearing shorts and kind of kitted out
00:51 so whether he was actually on the grass or not we're not too sure but he is back in England,
00:55 having spent a bit of time in Argentina. Of course he's been suffering with a long-term
00:59 foot injury, he hasn't played since the middle of September. He's not going to be involved
01:03 anyway until probably the new year, certainly post-Christmas, Ten Hag confirmed so either
01:08 way we're not going to see him in a United shirt for quite a while. A couple of other
01:11 injury updates, Andre Onana dropped out of the Cameroon squad during the break with a
01:16 back injury but reports kind of seem to suggest that he will be available for this weekend.
01:21 Aaron Mombasaka also missed the game against Luton 3 Illness, he's already been seen back
01:25 in training, he should be okay to face Everton. Other than that, Tyrell Malasia and Ahmad
01:32 have both been stepping up their recovery from long-term injuries, both of which they
01:37 sustained in pre-season so we're not sure if they could potentially be back involved
01:40 this weekend, actually for the first time this season but again similar to Shaw, they're
01:44 certainly not going to be able to start, that's for sure. And then I mentioned one injury,
01:49 there's four players who are definitely ruled out for this weekend, actually five players
01:52 who are definitely ruled out for this weekend, one of them already mentioned is Lissandra
01:56 Martinez but Johnny Evans, a fellow centre-back, not going to be involved this weekend due
02:00 to injury. It means that probably Ten Hag will stick with Maguire and Lindelof, the
02:06 centre-back doesn't seem to want to pick Raphael Varane at the moment. Casimiro's also
02:11 out, he's like Martina, sorry he's not going to play until the new year. And Christian
02:16 Eriksen and Rasmus Hoylund who also picked up those injuries against Luton in the last
02:20 match before the international break, they are not going to have recovered in time and
02:24 of course Jadon Sancho and his ongoing issues with United, he's not going to be involved
02:30 either so plenty of injury issues that Eric Ten Hag will address on Friday in his pre-match
02:34 press conference.
