Sir Jim Ratcliffe's partial takeover of Manchester United doesn't look set to go through until next week.

00:08 I'm hopeful that I'm not gonna have a busy

00:10 I'm pretty sure that nothing's gonna happen

00:12 now at this stage this week.

00:14 It's Thanksgiving in, obviously, America on Thursday,

00:17 therefore nothing's gonna happen then, or Friday.

00:19 So it looks like it can't happen at the weekend

00:22 due to kind of market regulation.

00:24 So it's gonna be one that's gonna roll into next week.

00:26 But I don't think there's any suggestion

00:27 that there's any more than just kind of

00:29 dotting the I's and crossing the T's at this stage.

00:31 No issue that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 25% takeover

00:35 won't go through.

00:36 As I say, it is just a case of now

00:38 finishing the final details.

00:40 But I think for United fans, they'll certainly be wanting

00:43 to get this across the line because it is one

00:46 that's dragged on and on.

00:48 And the day I'm recording this is exactly a year

00:50 to the day since it was first announced

00:53 that United could be looking to potentially,

00:55 well, the Glazers could be looking to sell,

00:56 or I think it was strategic alternatives

00:59 was the phrase they used.

01:00 So it's dragged on and on,

01:01 but United fans will just wanna get this one sorted.

01:04 I mean, I have to say I'm quite surprised

01:05 that it has dragged on this long

01:07 when we were kind of the final game against Luton.

01:11 I think we all, I think I certainly thought then

01:13 that it was gonna be resolved

01:16 by the next time United were in action.

01:17 But that is the story of this kind of ongoing saga

01:21 that it just keeps dragging on and on for United.

01:24 But fans will certainly be hopeful

01:25 that in the next couple of weeks

01:26 we'll get a resolution on that one.
