If you'll be in New York to watch the nation's favorite Thanksgiving parade, you'll want to layer up, but there should be no rain in sight. Here's an in-depth forecast.
Transcript
00:00 Okay, this year marks the 97th Thanksgiving Day Parade
00:03 in New York City.
00:04 While it's been a wet day in the Big Apple,
00:06 things are looking better for Parade Day.
00:08 Christina Schallhoop has the forecast.
00:10 - Well, our big storm is on the way out on Wednesday.
00:15 In New York, you still could catch a shower or two,
00:18 especially during the first half of the day.
00:21 But as we look to Thanksgiving Day
00:23 and a Thanksgiving tradition, I do have some good news.
00:26 I'm talking about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
00:29 in New York, starting at 8.30 a.m.
00:31 and ending around noontime.
00:33 Now, the high on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, is 51 degrees,
00:36 and we will see some beautiful sunshine
00:38 as that storm is well off the East Coast.
00:41 Now, the only thing I'll say about this forecast
00:43 is check out the winds.
00:45 It is going to be a gusty day and a little uncomfortable
00:48 if you don't bring layers, especially.
00:50 Then early in the morning, well, you know,
00:51 it's gonna be a colder start.
00:52 So make sure that you're layered up,
00:54 but you can have the sunglasses on you as well
00:56 for such an exciting time-honored tradition.
00:59 Not a bad day overall, just a windy one.
