Enchanted light extravaganza at Knowsley Safari
Knowsley Safari has undergone a dazzling transformation into an illuminated wonderland this festive season. Though there won't be any live animals at the Christmas lights extravaganza, keep your eyes peeled for the illuminated wildlife on the trail including giraffes, penguins and zebras.

00:00 Noseley Safari's illuminated festive extravaganza has returned once again this winter.
00:07 Yeah, so this is our sixth year of Enchanted. We've had it every year for a good few years now.
00:12 And every year it just gets bigger and better really and brighter as well.
00:16 So we've got lots going on this year as always. We've got lots of animal installations,
00:21 lots of lights, toasts and marshmallows for the kids.
00:25 And as you can see behind me as well, we've got lots of rides which you can go on.
00:28 In the dark as well, which is really exciting.
00:30 The attraction's foot safari has been completely transformed into a cacophony of colour and festive fantasia,
00:38 where visitors are able to capture memories on the new moving Rainbow Road,
00:42 through the icy blue Arctic Arcadia and even converse with the talking tree.
00:49 As the night starts to draw in and you know you're looking forward to Christmas,
00:52 but you've got things like Enchanted which can just give you that little bit of excitement in the road.
00:56 We've got so much going on and it's a brilliant opportunity to get out the house on a night,
01:02 wrap up warm and enjoy all the lights as well.
01:04 The safari drive will be closed from 3pm, so there are no live animals to see.
01:10 However, there are plenty of light-up animals such as giraffes, penguins, zebras and polar bears.
01:19 Well, it's suitable for everyone really. We have a lot of families coming,
01:23 we see parents bringing the kids, we see grandparents bringing the kids,
01:26 but we also see a lot of young people as well coming.
01:29 If you fancy a bit of a date with a difference or just an excuse for a bit of a different night out as well,
01:35 we do cater for quite a variety of ages really.
01:38 Visitors can also spot illuminated hippos submerged in the safari's natural water features,
01:44 explore an enchanted woodland, stroll through neon geometric shaped walkways,
01:48 as well as perform your own shadow puppet show for everyone else to see.
01:55 The Winter Village has also returned for 2023 with marshmallow toasting
02:02 and you can even watch a Santa's elves prepare for the big day at his workshop.
02:07 The little ones and even the big ones too I suppose, can post their Christmas wish list to the big man himself.
02:15 So we have loads of people coming in prams, multiple prams for some families and wheelchairs as well,
02:20 so all the trail is really accessible. You can go right the way round there with not too much problems.
02:25 Enchanted is an outdoor event, so get your best winter outfit on, bring your waterproofs and some sensible shoes though.
02:33 There are rest points on the trail if you'd like to take a moment to sit down.
02:38 So Enchanted is open until the 30th of December, so there's lots of opportunities to come.
02:42 We'll open at half past four, so you can enjoy all the things, the trail, the rides, our food and drink, up until the 30th of December.
02:51 Hot and cold food and drinks are available to buy on the night, including some festive favourites.
02:56 However, you are also more than welcome to bring your own food and drink along with you to the park.
