00:00 Who could have thought you'd come into Bingo to play Bingo and get money but you get a baggy pig?
00:04 I come to play Bingo and I give birth outside in an ambulance.
00:11 I started having pains and the ambulance come and I pushed and that was it, he was out.
00:17 So you'd actually been having a game of Bingo when the baby went to labour?
00:22 Yes, I run off and that was it.
00:25 Stuck in the toilet, didn't come out for about half an hour and then the ambulance turned up at the bed and that was me done.
00:31 Did he confuse you with that battalion teddy?
00:34 He didn't know how he was going to be out.
00:36 I was five days late so I was expecting him anyway but I had contractions from the night before and then I was told it would be about two or three days.
00:44 So mum said come to Bingo, so I come to Bingo and then little did I know my price was going to be a baby.
00:49 Did the pound members of staff all help?
00:51 I did, yes, there was two, Karen and Larry, they come to my rescue.
00:56 And what did they do to help you?
00:59 Stay by my side, hold my hand and then come with me towards the ambulance.
01:05 So what was it like when you got in the ambulance and you had your little baby teddy?
01:12 It was amazing, it's nice to see the end of the light at the tunnel after all that pain.
01:18 I came into the main hall and a lady spoke to me and said that there's an emergency in the ladies toilet.
01:24 At which point I went into the toilets and found Tammy and her mum in the toilets.
01:32 Tammy was obviously in a lot of distress so we went straight on the phone to the ambulance service, got in touch with them straight away and then they started to give us instructions and at that point I handed the phone over to mum.
01:47 A lady came out to me and said there's a lady in labour in the toilets, there's two gentlemen in there, she might want a bit of lady comfort.
01:58 So I ran in and I sat in the toilet, told Tammy to squeeze my hand as hard as she wanted.
02:03 I don't remember what it was like with mine.
02:06 It was earlier in the night we were just talking about how we were both, this with Teddy and mine, we were both late and both in active labour from the day before.
02:16 It was weird, I jinxed it, I'm sure I jinxed it.
02:21 Do you deliver many babies?
02:24 No, never, never.
02:26 So when you came in for your shift that day was this something you were expecting to do?
02:33 No, absolutely not, one million percent not.
02:40 It's really exciting, we were so chuffed that the team were there and ready to help at the time when they were needed and then they really stepped up and it's been fantastic.
02:51 I just met Teddy and he's gorgeous.
02:53 We used to deal with lots of things but having babies is not usually one of them.
02:56 It's not part of the training?
02:57 It's not part of the training, no.
