00:00 Talk a little bit about that.
00:02 How do you see this going forward?
00:05 >> Well, you talk about a player like Zion Williamson, as dynamic as he is.
00:10 We also know that whole saying of being available on the court is what you need
00:15 for a team.
00:16 And so when you talk about him not necessarily,
00:18 everything is not running through him.
00:20 Well, in some cases when you think about it, well,
00:22 can everything really run through you specifically more so from the fact that
00:26 you're not gonna always be on the court.
00:27 And based off what we've seen, right, the availability side,
00:31 we've seen that Zion hasn't been available in the years that he's been in the league.
00:35 So if you're a New Orleans Pelicans fan, you're only hoping to see that he's gonna
00:39 be on the court obviously more consistent this year.
00:43 And so that just goes to show you in terms of planning and if you're a coach,
00:46 you have to see like, okay, well, this is what we already know based off the track
00:50 record and history of this player.
00:51 Not taking anything away from his talent,
00:54 cuz we know what he can do when he's on the court.
00:56 Even when he's played in previous seasons and what he's been able to do now.
01:01 But are you gonna be able to do that consistently throughout an entire
01:04 NBA season?
01:05 So I think it's more of the fact that you're talking about a player
01:09 who's had these injuries, who's had to sit out.
01:11 It takes a while to readjust and get fit into what the offensive system is going to
01:16 be, I think in the long run it's gonna help New Orleans.
01:19 But I think more than anything as far as beyond just the fact of him fitting into
01:23 a system, a lot of it goes back to just the health of these players.
01:27 Think about that, I mean, obviously Zion is one, but
01:30 then you talk about a CJ McCollum who's gonna be out for a while.
01:33 And so we really haven't had a chance to truly see all of these players together at
01:38 one time and be the dynamic team that they can be.
01:41 Now does that mean that the Pellings are gonna be the number one seed in
01:44 the Western Conference?
01:44 Obviously not, because the Western Conference is deep.
01:46 But at the same time, to see them all play together as one unit and
01:51 all healthy would do wonders for Pelicans fans and really NBA fans in general.
