00:26 - Well ladies and gentlemen, here we are out at the Elite Deluxe Sports Palace
00:29 about to witness one of the biggest ice hockey games of the season.
00:33 Bringing together two of the top ranking teams in the league.
00:35 In no other game is the feeling of competition so keen,
00:38 affecting both players and spectators alike,
00:41 turning casual friends into bitter enemies.
00:44 Tonight's game looks like a sellout.
00:46 A capacity crowd of thousands of rabid, sports-loving hockey fans
00:49 has turned out to cheer for their favorite teams.
00:52 Yes sir, the stands are filling up.
00:54 They're really packing them in.
00:56 Well it seems there have been a few last minute changes
00:58 in the starting liners.
00:59 Get your pencils ready.

01:01 Instead of Hannah at left wing,
01:03 Stallings will start, put DeGradi in place of Williams at center,
01:05 then Berg over Aliquas,
01:06 and at left defense, McCormick replaces Dunham.

01:10 Oh yes, the teams will be the Looseleafs versus the Anteaters
01:13 instead of the Moose and Pelicans.
01:15 All right, the teams are skating out onto the ice.
01:19 Listen to that ovation!

01:24 And here come the two stars of their teams,
01:26 Icebox Bertino and Fearless Ferguson.
01:30 A heated rivalry has developed between these two boys.
01:33 Both are tied for the top league scoring honors,
01:35 and tonight's game will be the payoff.

01:40 The referee for tonight will be that popular arbiter,

02:28 now back to the left wing and pivots around the center.

02:36 - Boots has got it, he's down the ice,
02:38 tries for a shot off the net,
02:39 but the goalie puts up a stout defense,
02:40 knocking it away for a beautiful save.

02:46 Here comes Colin Negrete fighting for the puck,

03:51 now they can pass to the right, center right,
03:53 oh, a beautiful puck check at the end,
03:56 there's a long pass ring wide,
03:58 and a scramble for the puck,

04:03 and there's the buzzer ending the first period.
