00:00 Today, at the Rybiński House of Culture, we have for the 32nd time a competition of reciters of patriotic poetry.
00:08 This is a competition organized by us for all schools, not only from the city, but from the entire Rybiński poviat.
00:15 And what makes us very happy, because dance shows and singing are very popular on TV,
00:21 we are very happy that patriotic poetry and the fact that these children want to recite, not only dance and sing,
00:30 but that there are so many children who want to recite poetry.
00:34 The work of the jury is never easy, because from year to year the level of the reciters' competitions,
00:40 I can say with confidence, is growing.
00:42 We are very happy because the contact with the living word, the contact with literature, any literature, including patriotic poetry,
00:52 is something very valuable in today's times, where we are actually running away to simpler solutions, pictures, films.
01:01 So we are very happy that there are still people who want to speak, speak beautifully, recite, have fun with this word and honor the listeners with this word.
01:09 I practiced with my mother, because she is Polish, and I was supposed to get into the person who speaks, not just repeat her words.
01:18 And what poems did you write?
01:21 "Orlątko" telling about a child who, during the defense of Lviv, was shot in the heart, and "Globus" about Globus.
01:33 I prepared "Garden Party" by Stanisław Barańczak and "The Oath" by Andrzej Kołakowski.
01:40 I am preparing for this competition and I take part in it to show the Polish young, young society that this Poland is important,
01:51 that you have to remember it, that you have to take care of it, that the homeland is the thing that is the most important thing for us, at least it should be.
02:00 it.
