00:02 This week in the college sports landscape has been a huge week in the courts.
00:08 Rick on Friday in Washtenaw County in the state of Michigan,
00:12 it will be Michigan versus the Big Ten.
00:16 Trying to seek a court order, a temporary restraining order to put a stay on
00:21 Jim Harbaugh's suspension to keep Harbaugh on the sidelines for the rest of 2023.
00:28 So Rick, it's a two part question for you.
00:30 What is Michigan's argument going to be to get that court order in their favor?
00:36 And do you think it is feasible and will actually work?
00:39 >> A little bit of the Big Ten doesn't have the power to do this
00:45 because it's a sportsmanship issue.
00:47 And they'll come out with some precedents about how on field activity doesn't count.
00:52 Probably not a valid argument.
00:54 The other argument they're gonna make is that probably wasn't fair.
00:57 The whole thing was a set up to have an original ruling the day before
01:03 Veterans Day so you couldn't do anything about an injunction.
01:06 That is just a procedural argument.
01:07 I think at the end of the day, the power will rest with the Big Ten.
01:11 Michigan has never come after a conference before.
01:15 A big school revenue producer hasn't done it.
01:18 So this won't settle.
01:19 Prediction is it'll probably be upheld for a couple of games because then
01:23 the playoffs start and the playoffs will have him on the sideline.
01:26 That's my prediction.
