00:00 Everything looking like it's going to plan and it's just not worked at all.
00:05 Not enough runs, not enough wickets, whatever else.
00:10 The problem is that we've been ****ed.
00:12 That's honestly speaking, we've been ****ed.
00:14 England being reigning world champions,
00:22 it came as a shock to a lot of people how they performed,
00:26 or would I say underperformed.
00:28 I think one or two maybe factors in that,
00:32 I would say maybe England were a little underprepared going into this tournament.
00:37 They've not played a lot of 50-over cricket.
00:39 If you dive too much into it around cricket,
00:41 you find you come out with more questions than answers.
00:44 We know that as individuals and as a team,
00:49 I think that's where it is as a team,
00:51 we've been nowhere near good enough to be able to compete in the World Cup,
00:54 which has been incredibly disappointing because we know we're so,
00:57 so much better than what we've shown out here.
00:59 I think there's massive disappointment and regret from us all
01:02 that we haven't been able to perform as well as we have as a team.
01:06 We'd have loved to have been here at the business end
01:08 and replicating what that fantastic team did in 2019.
01:13 We have been the trailblazers for cricket.
01:17 I would say one day cricket for the last two or three years,
01:19 we've broke so many records, highest run chase, highest total.
01:24 We've been amazing, how we played our brand of cricket,
01:27 and we are allowed to play badly.
01:30 We've just not played as well as we possibly can.
01:33 It's just a reminder how brutal sport is.
01:36 We prepare the best we can as athletes, the best we can as a team,
01:40 but ultimately there's no guarantees and every single team,
01:44 regardless of how good they are or how good they've been,
01:49 can have off days that can kind of mount up.
01:51 We've probably had a lot of our really big players struggle at the same time,
01:56 which very rarely happens in a team.
01:58 Usually everyone sort of dovetails each other.
02:00 I don't think anything will be tarnished.
02:03 I think they'll all be bitterly disappointed with their performance.
02:08 This team has created a legacy.
02:09 There's no doubt about it.
02:11 I don't think it'll happen again.
02:12 Probably most of this team can go on and play in the next World Cup quite comfortably.
02:16 They're still young enough,
02:17 and I still feel there's a lot more to give with this team.
02:20 I think there's still a lot of players that can play for a long time.
02:24 There's obviously a few of us who are a bit older.
02:27 More than likely won't make the next World Cup,
02:30 but there's a lot of players who have been around for years that will be,
02:35 and I don't think it's the end of anything.
02:37 I think it could potentially be the start of something else.
02:40 It's just been a disaster and there's no sugar coating it
02:43 because it's probably what you're all going to write anyway, and it's true.
