00:31 - Because I want to enjoy the Christmas festivities

00:35 - And can you tell me what you're expecting to see tonight?
00:38 - I'm expecting to see Katherine Jenkins lead it
00:41 and to hear her beautiful singing,

00:43 and to be led by Alison Jones as well.

00:50 - No, we haven't.

00:52 - My wife Alison has taken part before.

00:55 - I just sang it in the congregation

00:59 - You sat in Sheffield?

01:01 So we've come from Bath,
01:02 so we've decided to come up here
01:04 and see lovely Sheffield for the day as well.

01:16 - Oh, we saw there were celebrities.
01:17 It's lovely to have some filming here
01:19 in the Sheffield City Hall,
01:20 where we can have a local gathering,
01:22 celebrating Christmas and the life of Jesus.
01:25 It's brought such good fun for everybody.
01:28 And here we are waiting in this big queue.
01:30 At least it's not raining.
01:31 That's the best thing.

01:33 that you're particularly looking forward to seeing?
01:35 - We're looking forward to Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Bowe.
01:37 We watched them on TV,
01:38 but we've never seen them in person.

01:45 - Well, I've watched Songs of Praise
01:47 since I watched it with my grandparents as a child.
01:49 I'm now 62.
01:51 So when I saw it was going to be at Sheffield City Hall
01:53 for Christmas and New Year,
01:55 jumped at the chance.
01:56 - Do you live in Sheffield yourself?
01:57 - No, we live in Worksop.
01:59 So not too far away.
02:00 - And what are you looking forward to tonight with it?
02:04 - Singing the carols
02:05 and obviously seeing Katherine Jenkins
02:07 and Alan Jones and Michael Ball.
02:10 And they strictly come dancing.
02:11 And I can't remember his name,
02:12 the lead singer from that.
02:14 So yeah, just the whole event and being part of it.
