27:06 [speaking in Tagalog]
27:14 Yes. Of course, this is a welcome development. But did you expect that finally, you will be able to proceed with your case?
27:23 I always hope, I've been clinging to hope because that's all I could do. You know, when you're one, when you're someone deprived of liberty, all you have to do is cling to hope.
27:36 Because if you don't cling to hope, then there's no sense existing. So I really have hope that it won't be lost.
27:46 Although, during President Duterte's time, I know that I was really in a mess.
27:54 When the administration changed, then I really, there was really hope that justice will find its way. Although, it didn't happen immediately. It took also one year.
28:08 But the hope is still there. And I've never, never, ever lost faith. My faith has never wavered. That one day, I've been vindicated.
28:19 We're saying that this is just temporary, ma'am. But of course, the first on your list, as you mentioned in your interview yesterday, is your 91-year-old mother.
28:33 Yes.
28:34 Other than that, what else is on your list?
28:38 Well I have to really spend a few days, private quality time with my mom and my family. And then I'll be really pondering over my options because I have several options.
28:52 One of them is to return to law practice and to return to teaching in law school. And whatever other options I have, but always, whatever would be the next calling that I'll be indulging in,
29:13 my advocacies are there. I will not stop helping my core advocacies.
29:23 But if you really use, you're asking for justice in the end, are you also thinking that you will be the one to file a case against those who said that you are involved in the allegations about you?
29:42 There's always a possibility. It's not easy to forget what I've done. But at this point, I don't want to dwell on it first.
29:57 But it's part of my vindication. It's part of attaining a complete and true justice because everything has been wrong from the start. And then it took more than six years of my life. These are prime years of my life.
30:17 And if we go back to the lawyers' lingo, the damage done to me is incapable of pecuniary estimation.
30:30 These are still six long years of lost opportunities, of lost milestones in my personal, family and even in the history of our country.
30:52 Although I will not stop helping my core advocacies, but it's different if you're really free to fight.
31:03 Senator Bato de la Rosa said that although he respects the court's decision, he wonders why the evidence became weak.
31:13 If it's really weak, why did it take six years before you were able to appeal? What is your reaction to that ma'am?
31:20 You know, that's the struggle of our legal team. My legal team was doing its best to prove to the court that the charges are baseless.
31:39 But we have to go through the process and that's really one of the loopholes of our system.
31:47 We are going through a process that most of the time, it really took so long for the process to come to an end.
31:56 I filed three cases. Those three cases were gradually reduced, although the third case is not yet complete or completely over.
32:11 But you know, I stand by my innocence up to this very day. I stand by my innocence and I'm pretty certain that I will be fully vindicated in due time.
32:24 Ma'am, the former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre said that they stand by their case filing.
32:31 But the bail was welcomed because she has suffered enough. What is your reaction to this?
32:38 Well, it's good for him. It's nice for him to say that. At least he recognized that I suffered enough. I suffered more than enough.
32:46 I hope he does realize it and I hope he's sincere in saying that. He knows the role that he has played in all of this. That's all I can say.
32:59 All right. Thank you very much for your time on Balitang Halim, ma'am.
33:05 You're welcome. My pleasure. Thank you so much.
33:09 I hope you will be allowed to go again. Thank you very much for your time.
33:13 Thank you. Thank you.
33:17 Meanwhile, before America travels to the Apex Summit, the local legislators and leader of Bagsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in Davao City are facing a lot of problems.
33:30 RGIL is on the spot with us. RGIL?
33:36 This is President Bongbong Marcos, the keynote speaker of the first BARMM Local Legislative General Assembly that was led by the local legislators of BARMM this morning.
33:46 In the President's speech, he said that this meeting proves the importance of helping and uniting the local leaders of BARMM.
33:55 The issues to be discussed in the General Assembly are important in the use of peace and prosperity of the country and the BARMM government, especially in the current socio-economic condition.
34:04 The President assured the support of his administration in the development agenda to achieve peaceful self-governance of the region.
34:11 The President was also happy to report that upon the visit of Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to the country,
34:17 they have recently signed diplomatic notes in the grant aid for the acquisition of $6.8 million worth of construction equipment for the road network improvement and disaster quick response operation of BARMM.
34:29 The Vice Mayor of the League of the Philippines organized the so-called activity in coordination with the BARMM Ministry of Interior and Local Government.
34:37 Here is the part of the President's statement.
34:40 When we are talking to other Islamic countries, we continue to remind them that BARMM still needs their support.
34:49 And I have to say to their credit that they have pledged that support and will continue to support BARMM.
