00:34 It seems like Kylie is always running into some type of controversy with her brands and
00:39 yeah for this new claim fans are calling her out.
00:42 She's straight up copying Kanye West with her new collection, Kai.
00:46 Kylie Jenner announced on Instagram that her clothing line, Kai, would release new items
00:52 on November 15th, 2023, including puffer jackets.
00:57 The post caption said this, "Kai drop 002 puffers + base layers coming 11/15"
01:05 And this is what jumped out to fans because they quickly noticed the resemblance between
01:09 Kylie Jenner's puffer jackets and those from Kanye West's Gap line released in 2021.
01:15 And by the way, prior to that time in 2020, Kanye West signed a 10 year deal with Gap
01:20 "The two on Friday announced a multi-year partnership in which West will create a line
01:25 of clothing for Gap under his Yeezy fashion brand."
01:28 To create a line of clothing under his Yeezy Gap brand.
01:31 So this was a major collaboration with Kanye West's Yeezy brand and Gap.
01:36 And the first product from the line, which was a blue puffer jacket, sold out within
01:41 hours of launch in June of 2021.

01:48 And Kanye West has been incredibly successful in the fashion world.
01:55 Plus he was married to Kylie's older sister, Kim Kardashian.
01:59 So I don't know, maybe Kylie feels a little bit entitled to use Kanye West's designs as
02:05 inspiration for her clothing.
02:07 Although the designs look like total rip-offs.
02:10 So you know, you can get inspiration, but this is looking a little too close now.
02:16 Experts do say that this similarity isn't really that surprising though, because Kylie
02:20 Jenner collaborated with the team that advised on Kanye West's designs.
02:25 And that team was Entire Studios.
02:28 Both collections share the technique of lacking buttons, zippers, or seams.
02:33 And Kylie's puffers, available in blue, white, and black, slightly differ from Kanye West's
02:39 Yeezy Gap line, which included blue, black, and red options that were discontinued in
02:45 2022.
02:47 But regardless, fans noticed right away.
02:49 And one fan wrote this, "Let's not act like Kylie didn't get this idea from Kanye."
02:56 And then there was another fan that said this, "So basically a combination of Yeezy and
03:02 Skims."
03:03 And someone else commented saying, "This looks a lot like Yeezy."
03:08 How I see it though, well it's next to impossible to create 100% unique original fashion.
03:14 Like whatever clothing is designed will look like something else in some way.
03:20 But in Kylie's case, I kind of think that this was 100% intentional copying, mainly
03:25 because she's been accused in the past of copying and stealing from other celebrities
03:30 for her makeup products and her fashion looks in general.
03:35 And you know, her older sister is also in the fashion world, Kim Kardashian, as well
03:39 as her other older sister, Khloe Kardashian.
03:43 So no doubt she would want to follow suit and do something in the fashion world, but
03:47 I mean, come on man, these are looking really close to Kanye West's designs.
03:51 If anything, copy your sister's, not your sister's exes.
03:56 Also in addition to this, accusations about Kylie Jenner copying Kanye West's puffer
04:00 jackets designs have followed recent allegations of her copying another designer, Betsey Johnson.
04:07 And she claims that she shared design concepts with Kylie Jenner and her team six months
04:14 before, and Kylie Jenner allegedly replicated those ideas in her Kai clothing line.
04:20 She even made this post on Instagram to vent her frustration with Kylie.

05:04 You want to gag over lazy celeb merch, duped business models, be my guest.

05:18 Even with this controversy surrounding Kylie Jenner's alleged copying of Betsey Johnson,
05:23 her fashion line has already generated significant earnings.
05:26 Plus amidst both negative and positive comments about the puffer jackets, Kylie Jenner has
05:32 the potential to earn even more in the future.
05:36 So guys, is this another example of Kylie Jenner just ripping off other celebrities
05:41 and making money from it, not even coming up with her own original ideas?
