00:10 I needed to do something different.
00:14 I had been assigned by a magazine I was working for
00:17 to do a story on this ranch out west.
00:22 And there was a horse whisperer.
00:23 And you had to learn how to get the horses to do
00:28 what you wanted to do.
00:30 And one of the first tasks was to get the horse to lift up
00:34 its hoof for you.
00:35 I think I had sort of a nervous smirk on my face.
00:40 The whole thing seemed ridiculous to me.
00:41 I'm from New York City.
00:42 And I'm out on this ranch trying to lift a
00:45 horse's leg up.
00:47 I, like everyone else, would approach the horse and then
00:50 try to pick up the leg.
00:52 Well, if you've ever tried this, you cannot pick up a
00:55 horse's leg unless the horse wants to
00:57 pick up his own leg.
00:58 I did it over and over and over again.
01:02 And finally, the horse whisperer said, so--
01:05 So aren't you learning a lesson here, doing the same
01:09 thing over and over?
01:11 You need to figure out how to do this differently if you
01:14 want to have a different result.
01:17 And I thought about that in terms of my love life.
01:19 Doing the same thing over and over wasn't working.
01:22 And that's when I decided to spend $6,000 to hire a
01:27 matchmaker to find my next husband.
