00:00 A dismal evening here on the South Coast for Newcastle United. They've lost 2-0 to Bournemouth.
00:05 I think that's probably fair to say that was Newcastle United's worst performance of the
00:10 season. An unrecognisable display under Eddie Howe. One they haven't seen for a long time
00:16 if not ever under Eddie Howe. Too many players not at the races. It was a fully deserved
00:22 victory for Bournemouth. They would have expected a tough game against Newcastle today at Bournemouth
00:26 but I think in many ways Newcastle handed the home side the win because there were too
00:33 many players not at the races. Mitigating circumstances of course, I think played a
00:39 big part today. Injuries, suspensions. They were without 12 players in total, 12 senior
00:45 players in total for today's game. Bruno Gamara is banned. You've got Callum Wilson who has
00:51 tightened his arm string. Looks like he's going to be out for a number of weeks. Eddie Howe's
00:56 confirmed there. So you've got two players there, two big players who would have started
01:01 the day not available. During the game it gets worse because Miguel Almiron on the half
01:07 hour mark goes down with an arm string injury. Has to come off and is replaced by Matt Ritchie.
01:12 But as I say Newcastle never looked in the game. They had a couple of shots. Sean Longstaff
01:18 has probably had the best opportunities but Bournemouth fully deserved that. It was handed
01:24 to them. Dominic Salah scored on the hour mark to open the score. It was an air of inevitability
01:31 in the side of the stadium. By the time the second goal went in, 13 minutes later, you
01:37 looked at the body language of the Newcastle United players and they just looked like they
01:41 felt sorry for themselves. Which as I say I understand to some extent because it's been
01:47 a really challenging couple of weeks. Physically exhausting couple of weeks for Newcastle United.
01:53 A busy schedule, continues to injure players. So on that the international break comes at
01:58 a very good time. They won't get loads of players back but hopefully in that two week
02:01 period a lot of players can get rested and get someone like Alexandra Izak back. Hopefully
02:07 fingers crossed they can find out that Miguel Almiron's injury isn't too serious. So on
02:12 that two weeks Newcastle have got to wait now until they face Chelsea. But in that time
02:16 They've got to regroup, refocus, and go again.
