00:00 What will be the legacy of this avenue to the people who want to know Senator Miriam?
00:08 To show to the people who believe in her that her principles and her voice are continuous.
00:17 We can see that people who support her believe in her.
00:24 In a personal way, I'm very happy about this road to remain after somebody who is an icon of the governance.
00:31 And I hope that it will be an inspiration to the leaders of our city,
00:36 that her legacy, her fearlessness, her fight for the rights of the people,
00:43 we will continue that as the leaders of Yessin City.
00:46 So I hope that this remaining will be an inspiration to leaders but also to the youth.
00:53 Because the people who really love her are the youth.
00:56 Because the youth are realistic, the youth are really fighting for the right,
01:02 and she became the model of the youth.
01:05 So I think that the youth are very happy about this remaining.
01:10 And I hope that this road will remain after such an inspiring lady
01:16 who will continue to inspire our youth to fight for truth, to fight for what is right.
01:22 And above all, to fight for honest governance.
01:25 Bong, how will the youth be inspired by Senator Miriam Santiago's ideals
01:31 that this whole stretch of BIR and the road I've been renaming as Senator Miriam Santiago Avenue?
01:38 Definitely, the history about her won't stop.
01:40 She's always taught in school.
01:42 She's always been a good example even in my generation.
01:44 As Miriam de Alza Santiago is, and it's always been a positive adjective.
01:50 And you know, she's nothing but a blessing for our country.
01:53 So how would this help the young ones is to believe that changing something impossible is possible
02:01 only if you have the perseverance, the heart, and the love for the country.
02:04 Which she showed, she's changed a lot of things for us, she's done a lot of things for us.
02:08 And definitely with the teachers knowing this, with the older people, the adults knowing this,
02:13 teaching the children, again, we all boil down to being a very good example to the youth,
02:18 but if you were more of a teacher, you would adapt.
