American expat Lucas (Christopher McCombs) works at a small, struggling English language school in the countryside of Chiba, Japan and is doing what it takes to make ends meet. In the same town, half-Japanese Ken (Christopher Nishizawa) has been working at his uncle's construction business since he was fifteen years old and is struggling to figure out what he wants with his life. Over the course of three days, Lucas and Ken meet and help each other realize how important it is to have people and places to attach yourself to.

日本の片田舎に住むアメリカ人のルーカス。
彼は経営難の小さな英会話学校で働きながら、少ない稼ぎの中でも心豊かに暮らしていた。
同じ町には、外国人の母親を持つミックスルーツの日本人、ケンが住んでいた。
叔父が経営する建設会社で長い間働いていたケンは、自分の生き方やアイデンティティを見出せない日々を送っていた。
