00:13 of the police, attacking their impartiality in the crudest and most partisan of ways,

00:19 deliberately undermining respect for the police at a sensitive time when they have an important

00:25 job to do, deliberately seeking to create division around remembrance, which the Policing

00:30 Minister rightly said should be a time for communities to come together and to pay our

00:35 respects. She is deliberately inflaming community tensions in the most dangerous of ways.

00:42 So two questions. Does this Government still believe in the operational independence of

00:47 the police, and how can it do so while this Home Secretary is in post? Did the Prime Minister

00:53 and No. 10 agree to the content of this article? Either the Prime Minister has endorsed this

01:00 or he is too weak to sack her. If he cannot get a grip of her conduct, it means he has

01:05 given up on serious government and he and the Home Secretary should both let someone
