00:00 the country. So, I'm going to ask you a question. What is the reason behind these terrorist attacks? Elections are also on the rise.
00:07 The number of terrorists is increasing. The number of terrorists is increasing is a very
00:14 dangerous thing. Since the military operations in Patta, there has been a huge decrease in
00:21 the number of terrorists. But in the last two or three years, there has been a huge increase.
00:28 And this year alone, more than a hundred of our soldiers have been martyred. And I think
00:35 the situation is such that it is spreading in a very large area. This is not only in KP,
00:42 but also in Pakistan. So, I think that the security challenges of Pakistan have become
00:49 very serious. So, Pakistan has also provided a list of terrorist groups to Afghanistan.
00:58 And the dialogue has been ongoing.
01:05 But it is true that the Taliban should take action against all terrorist organizations
01:12 on their territory. There is no doubt about this. And it is also true that most of the
01:19 leaders of KP are still in Afghanistan. But there is another thing in this that we ourselves
01:26 have made a lot of mistakes, due to which we are suffering today. Two years ago, when
01:33 the Taliban government came there, we started a policy of appeasement again. We started
01:41 the protest with the TTP, on the behalf of the Afghan Taliban. And I think the TTP started
01:50 to make its conditions accepted. But before that, we have given a lot of people, about
01:58 several hundred TTP people, permission to come here. They came here with weapons. And
02:07 it was not decided that they would put weapons. And the reason for this is that the actions
02:14 that have now increased, are because of the same people who we had allowed to come here.
02:19 So, I think that as far as Afghanistan is concerned, there are many actions being taken
02:25 against them. The Taliban government is not taking any action. In fact, there are such
02:30 news in many places, where they have also got a head. But along with that, we should also
02:36 see that our own policy, what is the situation because of it, it is also very important.
02:42 Do we even have a very comprehensive policy right now?
02:45 Now, we have seen that before, we used to do the policy of appeasement, there was a fight
02:51 between the Taliban and the Taliban, then we used to start making fun of them. And this
02:57 is the result that we are seeing today. The fundamental reason for this is that there is
03:02 no consistency in our policy. There is no long-term strategy in front of us, how to save
03:07 ourselves from this. Okay, we should definitely protest against the Afghan government. We
03:12 should also tell them to give it to them. But the matter does not end here. Have we
03:18 come to a conclusion about the policy of counterinsurgency or counterterrorism? I do not
03:23 think there is a conclusion yet. Our entire effort is to continue the fire fighting. Now
03:28 see, how many people are getting martyred every day, two, three, four, our officers and
03:34 soldiers are getting martyred. If this situation had been, I think we would not have had so
03:39 many people in a war, our soldiers were not martyred as they are now. Now the problem
03:45 is that we have not seen any clear policy, any wise implementation in front of us. We
03:51 do fire fighting, but we do not see any result of it moving forward. So, we cannot expose
03:58 our citizens by voting for someone. But Mr. Zahid, now you see that the elections are
04:04 on the head, the date has come, how other communities, including JUI, FAE, are getting
04:10 campaigning, Daesh also has open letters, they cannot go back to their areas, how will
04:16 they do canvassing? Absolutely right, see, it happens everywhere. One is not a challenge
04:22 in front of us, one is of TTP, absolutely right, the number of investigations that have
04:28 been done during this time, most of them have been done by TTP. But there are other terrorist
04:34 organizations that are also involved in this, which are taking action. I mean, the clash
04:40 with JUI in Mehmand is of Daesh, and Daesh and its, if you look at it, it is a spillover
04:46 effect, which is in Afghanistan, the clash between Daesh and Taliban, the fights that
04:51 took place between them, the effect of that is seen in Mehmand. So, there is not just
04:56 one terrorist organization in Pakistan, which is taking action, but we have seen the effect
05:01 of this, in fact, we are facing challenges from many places. On the one hand, this is
05:06 TTP, on the other hand, we are also seeing Daesh, somewhere, they are also seen in the
05:11 Daesh-Gurdi investigation, like what happened in Mehmand, along with that, the Baloch
05:16 separatist movement, their investigation is also increasing. You just saw the incident
05:21 in Gwadar, a very serious incident, in which 14 of our soldiers and officers were martyred.
05:27 This was a very big investigation. So, if we look at this year, I think more than 200
05:32 of our officers and soldiers have been martyred in various investigations. So, so far, I
05:37 have seen, and when the caretaker government talks about this, then first of all, it should
05:42 be said that the caretaker prime minister should not talk about any policy matter.
05:47 His work has become clear in a way that his purpose is to make sure that the government
05:53 is not in a position to do anything. And such decisions should not be made by the caretaker
06:00 government, which, in the long term, is increasing the risk to our national security and internal
06:07 security. And I think that today's prime minister, caretaker prime minister, I do not
06:14 see any reason for this.
06:17 Thank you very much. Zaid Hussain is with us.
