00:00 >> How we doing?
00:01 >> Good.
00:02 >> Doing great.
00:04 How about them ducks?
00:05 Got a dub today, Dante what 21 rebounds pretty big and I think women are up right
00:10 now so that doesn't fire you up I don't know what does but obviously great weekend.
00:15 For our guys, I certainly walked away feeling like we could play a lot better but
00:18 was really pleased with our team's response throughout the game.
00:21 A lot of young guys stepping up and making a big impact was great for
00:26 us to see and a lot to build off of.
00:29 So we had a great prep day today.
00:31 Guys really went in there and attacked what they got to get better at.
00:33 And obviously playing a special opponent with a lot of talent on that side of
00:38 the ball, a team that's got talent in every phase.
00:42 So we have to be ready to attack them and play them well and
00:45 they obviously do a great job of scoring points.
00:46 So something we had to be prepared for.
00:48 >> Start here on the right with Zach.
00:51 >> Like you said, you left Saturday thinking there was a lot that you needed
00:53 to clean up.
00:54 I'm curious how that doctor's visit went yesterday and
00:56 kind of how the mentality was for the players today.
00:58 >> Great, these guys come to work, man, they're wired the right way.
01:01 It's always about hearing the message, not the tone.
01:05 And I thought our guys did a phenomenal job of identifying exactly what they want
01:09 to do to get a little bit better.
01:11 And it's right now, this part of the season,
01:13 it's about finding something you can get a little bit better at and
01:15 growing that 1%.
01:16 >> Front left, James.
01:18 >> Had a question on a couple of the calls.
01:21 One on the penalty on Jones.
01:23 Was there something that happened outside of camera angle just because they both
01:25 went to the ground?
01:26 >> We sent it in to see what the interpretation is as well,
01:30 because we didn't necessarily see it the same way.
01:33 >> Gotcha, and then on the back to back plays on Bucky.
01:36 First, where he gets lifted up and there's no call.
01:38 And second, where there appears to be helmet to helmet,
01:41 though he's not a defenseless player, but
01:43 nevertheless there is helmet to helmet, did you send those in as well?
01:46 >> No, he's lowering his helmet, the defensive player is lowering theirs.
01:51 So I could see how that could be something that was sent in, but
01:54 that would have been more ticky tacky on our part, in my opinion.
01:58 And obviously, he gets lifted up,
01:59 that happens sometimes in the passion of the game.
02:01 >> To the left, Jarek.
02:03 >> What have you seen from USC's offense this year?
02:06 Is there an opponent that you've played this year that kind of reminds you of
02:10 them?
02:11 >> I don't think we've seen an offense quite like this offense.
02:14 It's really unique.
02:15 Obviously, the closest would be Washington in some ways with the explosive passes.
02:20 Quarterback can make every single throw.
02:22 They've got great weapons.
02:24 They're strong in the offensive front with their own line.
02:26 They got a really good running game.
02:29 Marshawn's running the ball really, really well.
02:31 Seems like they get into positive plays really easily and
02:35 the shot game is always there.
02:37 I mean, he extends plays and holds on to the ball longer than anybody in college
02:41 football and he can make every throw.
02:43 So that's dangerous if you're not able to get him down on the ground and
02:46 not able to cover for a long time.
02:48 So they present a lot of challenges.
02:50 I mean, they use the tight end in the passing game.
02:52 They run the ball well.
02:53 They're a scheme team and they do what they do really well, but
02:56 they're gonna bring new wrinkles into each game that you have to be prepared for.
03:00 And they're one of the harder opponents to prepare for.
03:03 >> In the middle, Max.
03:04 >> Coach, good to see you again.
03:08 The cinematic recaps have been a huge hit for Oregon this year and for
03:12 good reason.
03:13 As the leader of the team, how do you kind of strike that balance between
03:17 giving fans that behind the scenes look that they haven't really got before and
03:21 keeping that secret sauce kind of close to the vest, so to speak?
03:24 >> Yeah, I mean, I get to see them before they get to released and
03:27 every once in a while we'll make some edits.
03:29 But I think it's good for everyone to be able to see the work that our players put
03:32 in and the preparation that goes into success.
03:35 I think it provides a great glimpse of all the work that does go into
03:39 a 60 minute game.
03:41 And there's so much more than just obviously those 60 minutes.
03:44 So our video staff has done an unbelievable job capturing some great
03:48 content and really, the other piece that's fun for
03:51 me with those is it gets to highlight the great people in our program.
03:55 Not me, the players, the coaches, the video staff,
03:59 just everybody that touches our program makes such a great impact.
04:02 I think it tells a great story about our team and each week and
04:05 how each week is unique and different.
04:06 >> When there's so many elements that make their offense so dangerous,
04:11 how do you focus on containing that?
04:13 >> You try to take them all away.
04:15 No, it's hard.
04:16 You talk about trying to make a team play left handed.
04:18 This is a hard team to make play left handed because they do so
04:21 many things really, really well.
04:23 I think you have to be sound when you play these guys.
04:25 And their quarterback's kind of seen it all and has a lot of experience.
04:29 So it's hard to pitch something to him that he hasn't really probably prepared for
04:32 already.
04:32 So it's about being sound, being smart, being patient.
04:36 And when you get the opportunity to change up a look or provide and
04:40 create pressure, you wanna be able to do that.
04:42 But it can't be a feast or famine mentality.
04:45 You can't expect this guy not to have some success in this game.
04:49 He's gonna have some success.
04:50 And it's really about how we respond to that success.
04:52 And it's about the culmination of plays over time.
