00:00 J. Renz Quilario, alias Sen. Aguila, and 12 other members of Socorro Bayanayan Services Inc. were arrested by the NBI.

00:09 This is because of the various cases that were filed against them.

00:13 Quilario's defense is based on the accusations of witnessing of John Consulta.

00:22 At 2 p.m., the NBI-NCR and NBI-T5 arrived outside the Senate building.

00:30 J. Renz Quilario, alias Sen. Aguila, was arrested.

00:33 He is the leader of Socorro Bayanayan Services Inc. or SBSI, which is being investigated by the Senate for various abuses.

00:47 Three officials and seven members of the group were also arrested,

00:52 following the allegations of qualified trafficking in persons, facilitation of child marriage, solemnization of child marriage, and child abuse.

01:00 While traveling, the GMA Integrated News exclusively interviewed Sen. Aguila.

01:06 According to Sen. Aguila, the charges against them are not true.

01:10 -The abuse against the children? -It's not true. We did not abuse them.

01:17 -You did not abuse them? -No.

01:19 He believes that there is a deeper reason why they were charged.

01:23 -Did you want to get something from them? -No.

01:28 -What do you think is the reason for your arrest?

01:36 -Maybe they have an interest because they want to build a tourist attraction.

01:43 He messaged the people who went there and filed a case against them.

01:53 At 4 p.m., Sen. Aguila and his associates arrived at the NBI detention facility in Belibig.

02:01 Before the arrest, Sen. Aguila visited the Senate hearing.

02:06 He questioned the number of children and infants who died in Capihan,

02:11 the community center of SBSI in Surigao del Norte.

02:16 If our informants are to be believed, more than 200 children are dying.

02:23 Why so many dead babies? Why are we allowing children to die?

02:29 Based on the information we got,

02:32 considering that the mothers, prospective mothers, were restricted from consulting medical intervention.

02:47 According to a former member of SBSI, his wife gave birth in a function hall

02:53 and his child died immediately because he was not allowed to bring her to the hospital.

02:58 -Who is not allowed? -Sen. Aguila, sir.

03:12 Even though some witnesses said that,

03:15 the board of SBSI still denied that there is a police who is not allowed to bring a child to the hospital.

03:22 They also denied that the function hall is a child-birth facility because it is like a hotel.
