00:00 Of course, we are very thankful to Nicole Borromeo for her support.
00:06 Here is the first story of Aubrey Caramper.
00:09 Nicole Borromeo's Miss International 3rd Runner-up is back in Tokyo, Japan.
00:19 She won the Miss International pageant there.
00:22 Even though she didn't win the title,
00:24 she is still very proud to be in the top 5 and the 3rd runner-up among 70 candidates.
00:30 She did her best to represent the Philippines in the Miss International stage.
00:36 I've been flooded with messages that I didn't get the chance to respond to yet.
00:41 The people telling me that they were proud.
00:43 And at first I was like, "Really? I didn't win?"
00:48 You all thought, you all still are proud of me, you all still think that I am a queen.
00:58 Nicole feels the country spirit and the support from the Filipino community in Japan.
01:04 And of course, from her family who watched the pageant in Tokyo.
01:10 Many were impressed by the performance of 22-year-old Cebuana Beauty Queen
01:14 from her colorful national costume that is sea urchin inspired,
01:18 evening gown, and her answer to the Q&A portion about the Sustainable Development Goals.
01:24 Because when you have something in mind, it doesn't just come out perfectly.
01:29 And what's great about the SDGs is that it's something that all girls in the pageant worked hard with.
01:35 My SDG is revolving around affordable housing, right?
01:39 So that everybody has a place to call home.
01:41 What are her future plans after the pageant?
01:45 For sure, I want to try out show business actually.
01:48 But I don't want to jinx anything. So let's see what opportunities come my way.
01:52 She also got support from her Kapwa Beauty Queen
01:56 and our Miss Universe 2023 candidate, Michelle Marquez D.
02:00 She's incredible and she's so empowering.
02:03 And I really admire her. I think she's going to do incredible on the Miss Universe stage.
02:07 She can bring home the crown, that's for sure.
02:10 This is the first news. Aubrey Carampel for GMA Integrated News.
