00:00 Today's a good day.
00:01 I've got my last chemo session on Thursday.
00:04 Yes!
00:05 Yes.
00:05 [APPLAUSE]
00:06 And ring that chemo bell.
00:08 It has been the toughest year of my life.
00:09 I'm just really hoping with the surgery I've already had
00:12 and the chemo that I've done enough.
00:14 And how's the treatment been?
00:15 We were talking through some of the things
00:17 that have impacted you.
00:19 It's been tough.
00:19 I've had sepsis, blood clots.
00:22 I've had to have hormone treatment, then being
00:24 put into menopause.
00:26 I mean, these are the things on top of the cancer you just
00:28 think, what else can you throw at me?
00:30 When I sat in that room and the doctor said, Amy, yes,
00:32 you've got cancer, that was one stab.
00:35 And then, what's your fertility plans?
00:38 And you know--
00:38 Fertility, of course.
00:40 Because I've got an oestrogen-fed cancer.
00:42 And I need to shut my ovaries down, basically.
00:44 And my husband's next to me.
00:46 We've only been married a couple of months.
00:48 And yeah, it's just heartbreaking.
00:50 And that's something I never knew.
00:52 And the impact emotionally, yeah, it's just been so tough.
