In Rajasthan’s Alwar (urban) constituency,  people’s opinion seems to have turned in the favour of Congress even though the BJP has held the seat for last 15 years. The Rajasthan ruling party’s Ajay Agarwal, former Chairman of the Alwar Municipal Council, has been pitted against the incumbent Sanjay Sharma of BJP.  Outlook’s Shreya Basak talked to locals in Alwar, who praised Agarwal for the development work he has done in the former Alwar district before it was divided. In and around Alwar city, news of communal violence often makes headlines.
