00:00 These are the times of their lives they'll never forget.
00:04 You know, if I could have one day to go back and do it again, I would.
00:08 Volleyball helps girls feel capable because it's a team sport.
00:14 Everybody's coming together.
00:15 That's how I used to play when I was 12 years old.
00:17 If I would make a mistake, I would get a stick.
00:19 Yeah, you feel good yourself, but then watching how your team reacts
00:22 and just the energy that it gives in the middle of a game.
00:26 I was like, "Wow, I want to be in the huddle," knowing what they're saying.
00:29 So I just found like...
00:30 She just...she absolutely...
00:32 When I say she fell in love with it, that's an understatement.
00:35 I need to make sure, like, my player's okay.
00:37 Like, that's my job to make sure my team's okay.
00:40 So I started when I was 11 years old in sixth grade.
00:43 I started playing volleyball at the YMCA League, and probably when I was nine.
00:48 I started playing when I was 10 years old.
00:50 And when I was eight years old.
00:51 I played when I was nine.
00:53 It is an opportunity for you to be out there on the floor,
00:56 and you can be as aggressive as you want.
01:00 It's very fulfilling because you also have a core of people right around you,
01:03 surrounding you, that are supporting--typically supporting that sort of aggression.
01:08 But it's a positive, motivational thing that makes you feel, you know,
01:14 very good about yourself and about those around you.
01:16 It's accomplishment. It's teammanship and learning how to do all of those things.
01:22 She's amazing.
01:25 She's respectful.
01:28 She wants to be coached.
01:31 I don't care how good people tell her she is.
01:35 We tell her you can always be better.
01:39 You can always learn from your coaches, from your teammates.
01:44 Sorry.
01:47 You guys did this.
01:50 So I'm extremely--we are extremely proud of her.
