00:36 - Hello, friends.
00:42 War Thunder's birthday is coming very soon,
00:45 which means it's time to meet
00:47 the fourth major update of this year, Kings of Battle.
00:51 Get ready for reworked mechanics,
00:53 new visual effects, a unique location,
00:56 new roadmap milestones,
00:58 and of course, some long-awaited vehicles.
01:01 Let's start unrolling this beauty.
01:03 We are happy to announce
01:06 that we are making night battles optional.
01:08 There's now a toggle for that
01:10 in the battle mode selection screen.
01:13 Nighttime missions will only be available
01:15 in ground realistic battles.
01:18 Fighting in low light conditions
01:19 is much harder than during daytime,
01:21 so we added special themed rewards for these missions,
01:26 a loading screen, titles, decals,
01:29 profile icons, and decorations.
01:32 War Thunder also introduces a skill bonus mechanic
01:36 that we promised to add in our roadmap.
01:38 Players showing excellent skills
01:40 will now receive extra research points
01:42 based on the number of frags they score in a battle.
01:45 More frags means a higher bonus percentage.
01:49 We've also implemented some features
01:51 for existing armor-piercing bombs.
01:53 This type of ordinance is now excellent
01:55 for destroying cruisers and battleships.
01:58 Once an armor-piercing bomb hits a deck,
02:00 it breaches it with its mass alone
02:02 and explodes inside the ship,
02:04 delivering maximum possible damage.
02:07 Keep in mind, though,
02:08 that it can also penetrate lightly armored targets
02:10 and go right through,
02:12 exploding outside and dealing no significant damage.
02:16 Tankers are likely to note the reworked effects
02:18 for discarding Sabot shells.
02:20 As soon as the Sabot leaves the barrel,
02:22 it separates and breaks free
02:24 from the kinetic penetrator packed inside.
02:26 By the way, Sabot pedals have their own damage models.
02:30 Each of them can harm lightly armored
02:32 or open-top vehicles at distances
02:34 up to a couple hundred meters.
02:36 Our artists have created a unique location
02:39 for mixed battles called Flanders.
02:42 It features a dynamic environment
02:43 that changes according to battle ratings.
02:46 For instance, one of the strategic areas
02:48 switches its decorations between a World War I-era blimp
02:52 and a modern transport jet aircraft.
02:55 This adaptation improves the immersion
02:57 into the time period you're currently playing.
02:59 Today's parade of new vehicles is opened
03:03 by an American supersonic tactical bomber
03:06 with a variable-sweep wing,
03:08 the General Dynamics F-111A Aardvark.
03:11 It was originally developed as a fighter,
03:13 but found to be a superior bomber.
03:16 Its arsenal includes six-barreled 20-millimeter cannons,
03:19 guided air-to-surface missiles,
03:21 close-range air-to-air missiles,
03:23 and a truly absurd number of conventional bombs and rockets.
03:27 The next new aircraft is a legendary Black Hawk helicopter,
03:33 or, to be precise, its strike version, the MH-60L DAP.
03:38 Unlike the transport versions,
03:41 this one has a targeting complex
03:43 and can carry machine guns, rockets,
03:45 air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles.
03:50 We have no less than six new
03:52 modern self-propelled artillery vehicles,
03:55 the American and British M109A1,
03:58 the Italian and German M109G,
04:01 the Israeli M109, and the Chinese PLZ-83 howitzer.
04:06 They're armed with guns of 152 and 155-millimeter calibers
04:11 and can fire devastating high-explosive shells.
04:15 The Soviet research tree is now reinforced
04:19 with one of the most unusual machines in War Thunder,
04:23 the experimental missile tank called Object 775.
04:27 It's armed with a 125-millimeter rifled missile launcher,
04:32 while protection is provided by composite armor.
04:35 Its engine and transmission are the same as on the T-64,
04:38 and its crew of only two is in the turret.
04:41 This tank has a very low profile,
04:43 but it also has adjustable suspension
04:45 that can turn it into a real armored pancake.
04:49 The German SMS Sachsen is all set
04:52 to conquer the naval vastness of the game.
04:55 It has four main-caliber turrets
04:57 armed with eight 380-millimeter cannons,
05:01 as well as 16 150-millimeter ones.
05:04 The ship's armor plates have a thickness
05:06 reaching 350 millimeters.
05:09 And of course, that's far from all the new things
05:13 we're adding this October.
05:14 The Japanese tech tree will receive
05:16 the anticipated top-tier TAN SAM-1C complex.
05:20 A French highlight is the new AMX-10P IFV.
05:25 The British forces welcomed the Vickers Mk.11 wheeled tank,
05:28 and the United States can now enjoy
05:30 the second modification of the T-54.
05:33 The list of rotary-wing aircraft is also reinforced
05:36 with two new top-tier strike helicopters
05:38 for Italy and France.
05:40 Each of them can carry up to eight
05:42 fire-and-forget Spike ATGMs.
05:46 As usual, the full changelog is available
05:48 on our official website.
