00:00 Every year, the graves are honoured by the President of the Council of Ministers with a symbolic
00:08 sign. Today, in Kłodzko, a member of the anti-communist opposition in the 1980s was honoured
00:17 at the Żołyński Cemetery. He was an independent student, a flyer reporter.
00:24 During the war, he was interned in the camp in Kłodzko. He did not stop his activities.
00:32 He was devoted to his homeland all his life. Today, we honour his dedication to this.
00:40 It is also worth noting that he is a Cavalier of the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity.
00:46 This high national status was awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland.
00:51 Mr. Grzegorz, I have one more question. Are there many heroes at the Kłodzko Cemetery?
00:55 The Kłodzko Cemetery on Dusznicka Street, which is the second cemetery in Kłodzko,

01:15 In addition to our loved ones, we also have many honoured for our country, for our homeland,
01:23 for Poland, independence activists, soldiers, first of all, insurgents.

02:18 So the range of these characters who are here is very large,
02:22 but it should also be noted that a lot of these characters are still waiting to be discovered.
02:31 It is a titanic work.
02:33 Thanks to the fact that we have wider and wider access to sources,
02:37 I think that maybe it will be completed someday.
02:39 It is in my opinion, made for now, maybe 20%.

04:10 Kazimierz Olechnowicz, participant of the Polish-Bolshevik war, Battle of England.
04:14 Yes, we are at the grave of Major Olechnowicz, a resident of Klocki,
04:18 and a pre-war officer of the Polish Army, a pioneer of aviation
04:23 from the period of the First World War and the Polish-Bolshevik War.
04:29 Later, he was a permanent officer,
04:32 called to military service in 1939,
04:37 already from the time of his reservation.
04:40 He fought in September 1939, then he moved to France, England.
04:45 There he also served in the Polish Air Force.

04:51 he lived on Kolejowa Street, died in the 1970s,
04:55 he was buried here recently.
04:58 It was also possible here by the efforts of our association,
05:02 but also of the residents of Klocki,
05:04 with the expensive financial contribution of the residents of Klocki and the help to restore this tomb.
05:10 It looks just like today.
05:12 We have honoured the memory of this officer with a niche.
05:16 I am at the tomb of Kazimierz Sośnicki,
05:20 an activist of the Chłopski People's Movement,
05:24 and a pre-war teacher,
05:27 but also an active member of the People's Movement.
05:34 In 1939 he was mobilized.
05:40 After the end of the war, he worked in the Chłopski battalions,
05:46 in the People's Guard.
05:49 He was practically all his life associated with the People's Movement.
05:55 At the end of the war, due to poor health,

06:35 He could not stand it and died in 1947,
06:39 at a fairly young age.
06:41 The Chłopska area was a place where
06:45 demobilized soldiers from the West came to.
06:52 We are talking about the 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders,

07:27 Viktor Ovadiuk, who was the first commander
07:31 of the Regional Supplementary Command in Klocki.
07:34 It is possible that these gentlemen
07:36 met right after arriving from England,
07:39 because it is possible that Major registered
07:42 their military inquiries here in this area.
07:46 Major Ovadiuk, also a defender of Lviv
