California residents were forced to evacuate due to the fast-moving Highland Fire, which spread quickly due to high winds in the area on Oct. 31.

00:03 Well, first we noticed it smelled smoky and
00:05 knew from that direction, Santa Ana's, which are always dangerous for us.

00:12 So I decided, well, let's dump the tanks.
00:14 Before I got that done, it turned to fire trucks roaming through,
00:17 saying everybody get out.
00:19 They were checking on our neighbors.
00:21 They were really doing a heck of a job looking out for us.
00:24 And yeah, it turned from not too dangerous to out of there in about 30 minutes.
00:32 >> Some people were evacuating and my husband said, we're going.
00:36 And I said, no, no, I don't think so.
00:39 But he was adamant and I'm so glad that he was adamant,
00:43 because when it hit, then it really hit.

00:49 >> Well, it's really scary, especially when you leave all your
00:53 medication and everything at home, very frightening.
00:58 I have seen RVs burn.
