00:00 Prima Face, it looks like it's the past that is catching up with Naresh Goyal as of now.
00:06 Properties including 17 flats, bungalows and commercial buildings globally have been seized,
00:12 registered under the name of Naresh Goyal, Anita Goyal and others.
00:15 So it's a family thing.
00:16 What ED is saying that Naresh Goyalji, you had taken loans from the bank.
00:23 And how come you sent those money which ED is claiming that Naresh Goyal created trusts in other companies in Jet Airways name for money laundering.
00:33 So this is one peculiar angle that they have taken back in 2019.
00:37 That was the time when Naresh Goyal said that hey look I have this money because I have taken loans from the bank and that's why but I can't pay salaries to the employees through the loan money.
00:46 So what happened at that time is now this particular money and ED is actually getting back at that same loan amount which now is being claimed that that particular money from the banks was used to create trusts in different countries.
01:02 And that is how the money was basically siphoned off.
01:05 Jet Airways you know had become synonymous to making flying available for the middle class also yet it used to fly to nearly 65 domestic and international destinations with a number of fleets around 124 narrow and wide body aircraft.
01:23 These are some of the statistics that tell you that it was not a small company and trust me the ticket prices are also not so low.
01:29 But with the arrival of Jet Airways there was a competition given to Air India.
01:34 One big reason you know that many would say became very instrumental in the downfall of Jet Airways was the entry of even cheaper flights.
01:42 Jet Airways when it found itself in hot waters by 2019 obviously the NCLT declared them bankrupt.
01:48 So that was the end of it.
01:50 But then obviously it had a lot of flights.
01:53 It had a lot of aeroplanes standing by.
01:56 So companies were vying to take over Jet Airways and maybe you know rebrand it or refurbish it and then launch it.
02:03 So one company Jalan Kalrock Consortium basically found mentioned they were one of the prime bidders.
02:11 Bhavna it's interesting with a figure of 538 crore rupees being seized 350 crore rupees almost half of it in looks like a petty change for me you know in that regard.
02:23 He could have Mr. Goel could have easily paid that off and stood steer clear from all this problem.
