OIC Secretary-General Strongly Condemns Israeli Military Aggression in Gaza

Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has issued a strong condemnation of the continuous and escalating Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip. This assault has persisted for twenty-three days, resulting in numerous casualties, including innocent civilians, medical personnel, and journalists, along with widespread destruction of buildings, hospitals, schools, and UN facilities.
Taha emphasizes that Israel's actions, including the threat to bomb hospitals and the denial of access to basic necessities like food, medicine, water, and electricity, amount to collective punishment, war crimes, and a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles.
The OIC Secretary-General also denounces the increase in violence, incitement, and organized terrorism by extremist settler groups and Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, leading to the tragic loss of over 115 Palestinian lives this month.
He holds Israel fully responsible for these actions and calls on the international community to intervene urgently, compelling Israel to halt its aggressive actions, respect international law, implement relevant UN resolutions, and establish humanitarian corridors for essential supplies to reach the Gaza Strip
