00:00 If I could describe Portland in one word, it would be like enchanting.
00:03 It looks like a fairy tale.
00:05 When you live in Portland, Oregon, you're surrounded by so much natural beauty.
00:19 There's the stunning Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood National Forest, and of course,
00:24 the iconic Pacific Crest Trail. There's no shortage of fun outdoorsy things to do for
00:28 every type of adventurer, and this is one of my favorite spots.
00:31 Silver Falls State Park has a trail that takes you to 10 gorgeous waterfalls,
00:36 some you can even walk behind. It's a relaxing and scenic hike that you can
00:40 only find right here in the Pacific Northwest. This is everyday adventure.
00:44 Normally, this eight-mile trail takes people about three to four hours to finish,
00:55 but we've got some pretty heavy camera gear, and we're really going to take our time and soak it
00:59 in. So let's see if we can see all 10 falls before sunset.
01:02 We haven't even walked half a mile and we're already at the first falls.
01:12 It's incredible. Let's check it out. All right, Ashton, you ready to get a little wet?
01:16 It's a sunny day, but you still need your rain shell.
01:24 It's a good thing I'm only five feet tall.
01:26 You don't actually get that wet. It's like refreshing.
01:34 It almost looks like it's falling slow motion, doesn't it? So cool.
01:52 This is switchbacky, so we're going to be going back and forth and we'll get closer
01:56 and closer to the falls. Be careful here though, Ashton, because it's really uneven.
02:00 Oh yeah, Lower South Falls. This one's only 93 feet. It's a baby. Just kidding.
02:10 I've got my raincoat back on, Paddington Bear. I'm going to go behind another waterfall.
02:16 Oh, how cool is this? It's like a sheet of water.
02:26 Some of these people are really serious hikers and some people are hiking in converse, so it really
02:37 is for everybody. I think we are at the two mile mark now and our next falls is going to be this
02:44 Lower North Falls and that's only three out of ten so far. Got a ways to go. All right.
02:50 This one's the loudest one, I think.
03:00 Oh my gosh, we're hitting another one so soon. This is Double Falls.
03:12 Normally this one is much bigger.
03:14 In the springtime, the water probably comes up to here. Today's just a cute baby one.
03:23 Now this is an underrated one, I gotta say. I'm really enjoying this one.
03:29 I'm glad we came and gave it the love it deserved because nobody's down here.
03:35 Another historic bridge.
03:40 Oh, this one's Drake Falls. Here you go. 25 feet. Come on. I'm just kidding. It's still very cool.
03:51 Whoa!
03:58 This stealth bomb does. This is cool. Caught us off guard. Did a good job. I think we can walk
04:07 behind this one too. Yeah, careful. Oh yeah, gonna get wet on this one. This one's the Mid-North Falls.
04:16 Oh, this is cool action. When you come and look from the top, it's like in its own little pool.
04:26 Yeah, unbelievable is a good word to describe this one.
04:34 Okay, we got a ways to go. Good thing we're taking our time.
04:39 Twin Falls. I think this is as close as we can get to it, but you can see that there's
04:47 two waterfalls right there separated by that big boulder in the middle. I like it.
05:00 This one's got a gorgeous ceiling. The silt makes it so slippery. It's almost scary to think that
05:09 the water is like rushing above us. That there's like water running right above us.
05:14 I feel like I'm watching it on TV or something. Like we're at a movie theater with
05:19 panorama screen. It's like where's my popcorn?
05:26 I think this might be one of the Ten Falls. Ten and a half, counting this one.
05:32 Oh, we've only got one more left. It's almost over. You can always come back.
05:39 Last but not least, although it is the smallest one,
05:48 we have, what is this one? The Winter Falls. Yeah, this one's still pretty.
05:54 All right, we did it. We finished the Ten Falls trail in Silver Falls State Park, and now I think
06:00 we're ready for lunch. We saw some gorgeous waterfalls today, but which one was your favorite?
