00:00 November 2017 my son Jack passed away he was 10 and he died really really suddenly.
00:07 We did my first wrap for Jack five and a half weeks after that. We decided to basically
00:13 help all the children in the town basically and carry on Jack's legacy. He died of a broken
00:17 heart the day after he was born and then his mum passed away four weeks to the day after
00:23 Jack and I don't know how we did the first day but we did somehow we did it. I think
00:27 we're aiming to help 68 children. We helped 120 on the first year that was in six weeks
00:33 and we're just we're going to do it every single year. This is our seventh actual wrap
00:36 for Jack so we've done I think we've collected about 12 to 13,000 individual gifts over the
00:43 years. You're looking at nearly 1500 different children and families probably more and like
00:50 I say we're going to do it every single year. I'll do it every year the day I die. Jack
00:53 would have loved it he was he was like that he was very selfless he was an amazing kid
00:57 he was he had a big bright future ahead of him and all man it's lush to be able to carry
01:00 on his legacy do it all in his name you know what I mean it is it's unreal. I can't describe
01:05 what it feels like every year to help all these families and children. We'll get people
01:10 who message me and message the page every year saying thank you for the gifts and stuff.
01:13 We see the impact it has on our and socially us it's unbelievable. We started at the top
01:18 club years ago the first few times and then we couldn't do it there anymore. When we moved
01:23 to the welfare that was a very small venue and it was like everything was just all over
01:28 the shop and Lisa gave her upstairs to do now in the Hedroth Hall and honestly the room
01:32 is massive. We've got the room we've got the DJ we've got storage so we can get everything
01:37 organized and hopefully we can do it here for the future forever really. I'm buzzing
01:42 with it massive much better venue. So what we do is we collect gifts and donations we
01:48 do raffles bonus balls stuff like that. We've got like I say we've got 204 children we're
01:53 collecting for this year. So what we do is on the actual day the Wrap for Jack we get
01:59 all the gifts and fill each bag for each child and we invite all the members of the public
02:04 whoever wants to come in and help them more than welcome to come in and as a community
02:08 and a family all Jack's family and his friends and that all come in and we'll wrap the gift
02:12 basically it's called the Wrap for Jack. So we wrap all the gifts on the day get everything
02:16 organized and then I usually go out and deliver them over the few days after to the family
02:21 for Christmas. So this year we'll be delivering for the fourth the fifth and the sixth of
02:26 December and hopefully I can get these 200 each individual Santa sack delivered to each
02:32 child and young parent. But that's basically what we do either Wrap for Jack we invite
02:37 everyone to come in help wrap the presents. We'll put on a disco DJ for the kids plenty
02:42 food and it's amazing day every year is amazing it's unreal.
