00:00 We've been recruiting people for almost 20 years.
00:06 Next year we'll have the 20th anniversary of the group.
00:08 This year we're also recruiting people once a year.
00:11 This year we've recruited people for our group,
00:14 for people who want to work with us in the Red Cross,
00:17 in the Medical Rescue Group.
00:19 The recruitment will take place on 17 November at 5 p.m.
00:22 on Warmiński Street 10 in Bydgoszcz.
00:25 The Polish Red Cross headquarters is there.
00:27 We invite you to join the recruitment.
00:29 The group includes 32 people.
00:31 These are, above all, medical rescuers, nurses, doctors,
00:34 but it's also very important to note
00:37 that these are people who are not strictly related to rescue on a daily basis.
00:42 These are also people who finish the qualified first aid course in our group.
00:48 So we have couriers in our group,
00:51 we have sailors, we have bookkeepers.
00:54 All these people want to help
00:57 and we make it possible for them in the group
00:59 by finishing the qualified first aid course that we provide,
01:02 and then they work with us.
01:04 And sometimes they already catch the vaccine
01:07 and then go to medical school and finish,
01:10 like us in the profession,
01:12 whether it's a medical rescuer, a nurse or a doctor.
01:15 Being a member of the group is, above all, a way to live.
01:18 Because when someone becomes a member of the group,
01:22 most people, those who are involved in the group most of the time,
01:27 devote their free time to the group.
01:29 And what does the group do?
01:31 The group is part of the Polish Red Cross rescue system,
01:35 where it is available for large-scale events in the country,
01:39 based on agreements.
01:41 But recently, our group, the Bedgoszka group,
01:44 has also become part of an international unit
01:47 and we are ready to go to Europe
01:50 to help people.
01:52 It is known that none of us is sitting here and waiting for a call.
01:56 We are volunteers, we have to emphasize that.
01:58 No one here is paid for it,
02:01 but we are ready to go, let's say, within an hour.
02:07 We carry out such activities every day,
02:10 such real activities,
02:12 when we are looking for people who have disappeared,
02:15 which is also what we do as a group.
02:17 Our group consists of search planners
02:20 and here, supporting the police,
02:22 we go to the search site
02:24 and look for people who have disappeared physically
02:27 and we always secure the medical intervention team
02:30 that takes care of the person who has been found.
02:33 We meet once a week for training,
02:37 and the training cycle is carried out all year round.
02:41 In addition, we meet to keep our group here.
02:45 It takes money.
02:47 We work and secure various mass events,
02:50 where we actually connect pleasant with the useful.
02:53 We go to a concert, which we secure,
02:56 the rescuers are there for free,
02:58 but by working and earning,
03:00 we can invest the equipment of the group here.
03:02 As for the availability of our group,
03:04 each of us has a special app installed on our phones,
03:08 which serves to notify the rescuers,
03:12 the app rings so long
03:16 that someone decides to answer
03:18 "I'm going or not to the action".
