00:06 First of all, King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, will embark on a state visit to Kenya
00:11 on Tuesday. The monarch's first visit to a Commonwealth nation as King is to the country
00:15 in which his mother, Queen Elizabeth II's reign began, having acceded to the throne
00:20 in Kenya in February 1952.
00:24 Next up, the merits and dangers of artificial intelligence, known as AI, has become a big
00:28 topic in recent months and this week the UK will host the first global summit on its safe use.
00:33 Technology Secretary Michelle Donelan will bring together international counterparts,
00:37 technology sector leaders, top academics and civil society representatives to discuss risks
00:43 and the risks of the emerging technology and explore safety measures on Wednesday.
00:48 On Thursday, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will convene a small group of governments,
00:52 companies and experts to discuss steps to address the risks of AI and try to ensure
00:58 it is used for a force for good. The summit takes place at Bletchley Park, once the top
01:03 secret site of the Second World War codebreakers.
01:07 And the half-term holiday will take place in many areas of the region this week, including
01:12 North Yorkshire, Leeds and Hull, among others.
01:15 There's plenty of fun to be had for the young ones as Halloween takes place tomorrow and
01:19 firework displays will go ahead across the country for Bonfire Night on Sunday.
01:23 Historical attractions such as Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds and Pontefract Castle will be hosting
01:27 events throughout the week. Meanwhile, the famous locomotive flying Scotsman can still
01:32 be seen at the National Railway Museum in York until Sunday.
