A 25-YEAR-OLD WOMAN in London has covered her Lamborghini Aventador in two million crystals. Daria Radionova spent £350,000 on the Lamborghini but refused to say how much it cost to apply the crystals to the car. The Aventador is Daria’s fourth crystal-covered car, after she was inspired by a pair of crystal-covered Louboutin shoes she owns. The spectacular car modification was accomplished by a team that included cake decorators and henna artists and took over three months to complete. Incredibly Daria is now planning her next crystal covered make-over – on a £1million Bugatti.

00:58 but Daria's inspiration for her bedazzled car

01:02 So basically, I had shoes from Laboutine
01:06 covered in crystals,
01:08 and I was like, "Why not to cover my car like this,
01:11 full of crystals?"
01:12 And that's how the idea came up.
01:15 Girls, we love diamonds.
01:18 We love everything shiny and sparkling,
01:20 so that's why I decided to put crystals
01:23 because I like something shiny, shiny look.
01:27 There are 2 million crystals on the Aventador.
01:30 It took around three months to finish the job.
01:33 Every single crystal was applied by hand.
01:35 Taking on the task of kitting out this Lamborghini
01:43 with thousands of crystals was a mirror.
01:45 I'm the owner and founder of Cars & Cloaks,

01:52 So the car came to us in red.
01:54 I was scared.
01:56 I was like, "I'm not gonna do it."
01:57 So not only I'm taking on a Lamborghini,
02:00 yeah, one of the most popular, expensive supercars
02:04 that I'm covering with 2 million crystals,
02:07 no way I'm doing it.
02:08 We had not done anything so extensive
02:11 to a Lamborghini Aventador,
02:12 and we ended up doing the craziest thing to it.
02:15 The process of covering the car in crystals was meticulous.
02:18 The first layer is a see-through PPF layer,
02:20 which protects the paint from stone chips and whatnot.
02:23 On top of that, we've got black vinyl,
02:26 which serves as a base for the crystals.
02:28 The crystals are also black.
02:30 To enhance it, so we went for a gloss black finish underneath,
02:33 and then there's glue on top of the vinyl,
02:35 which holds the crystals down.
02:36 So in theory, if she ever wants to go back to red, she can.
02:40 The bonnet took probably about five days
02:43 for two people to complete.
02:44 There were times where I thought I would give up.
02:47 Team almost had it.
02:49 So, love late nights, love pizzas.
02:52 With the Aventador being one of the priciest cars
02:55 on the market, covering it with crystals
02:57 must have been expensive.
02:58 I got the car for 350,000 pounds,
03:02 and because it has crystals now, it's priceless.
03:06 I can't say how much it cost, because it's a secret.
03:09 Covering one car in crystals is a huge challenge,
03:13 but incredibly, this isn't a first for Daria.
03:17 So, Lamborghini Aventador is not the first car
03:20 I had covered in crystals.
03:22 Before that, I had Mercedes CLS covered in crystals,
03:26 and then I had Bentley, and then I had Lamborghini Huracan.
03:30 So after Huracan, I decided that I want to upgrade it,
03:33 and I got Aventador.
03:35 Driving this pimped out supercar around London,
03:38 it's no surprise it attracts a fair amount of attention.
03:41 I did not predict how popular the car would become.
03:46 In my opinion, Lamborghini, especially Aventador,
03:50 is the best car on earth.
03:52 I love the drive, I love the handle of the car,
03:55 I love the power, the sound, the look, everything.
