Let's Fix Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Transcript
00:00 Alright, alright, alright.
00:01 You fine folks have waited long enough.
00:03 Quick disclaimer, this video is a follow-up.
00:05 Check out "What Went Wrong With Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" for the full story.
00:09 Let's get it poppin'.
00:10 So last year I put out a really long, really monotone, really weirdly successful video
00:15 about the shortcomings of the West End stage play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child".
00:20 In the video we discussed the shortcomings of the play's storyline, and I dropped a
00:23 few hints about what I would have done that might have worked better.
00:27 So without further ado, allow me to formally reintroduce myself.
00:31 My name is Austin, and today I'm going to fix "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child".
00:44 So for the purposes of this video, let's push a hypothetical.
00:47 Suppose Jack Thorne and John Tiffany called me up and said, "You know what, homie?
00:51 You're onto something.
00:52 Let's meet for lunch."
00:53 So we fly out to London, we hit up the local Hibachi restaurant, and they give me the 411.
01:01 Then they bounce leaving me the check and drive off in a blue 2015 Honda Civic, leaving
01:06 me with the director's credit and no working capital.
01:08 Does that sound oddly specific?
01:10 Anyway, so here's the challenge.
01:11 I've gotta fix the show, but I'm only allowed to use the cast, crew, sets, and props
01:16 that are already in-house.
01:18 No new cast, no new budget, no elaborate gimmies.
01:21 I just have to take what the show is currently using and rework it in a way that provides
01:25 a better experience.
01:26 Alright, so I'll give the source material one thing.
01:30 The first few scenes are actually pretty good.
01:32 We're keeping 'em.
01:33 Albus gets sorted into Slytherin, befriends Scorpius, their first two years at Hogwarts
01:37 pass by uneventfully.
01:39 Story is basically gonna be the same up to Act 1, Scene 5.
01:43 Just one little fix before then.
01:45 Each platform 9 and 3/4 scene needs to set up a contrast between Al and Harry that grows
01:50 deeper and deeper as Albus' school years progress.
01:53 Harry needs to set up great expectations for his son that wind up never happening.
01:58 So before each train ride, we should get something like this.
02:00 "First year, big year.
02:02 I remember my first year.
02:04 All kinds of adventures.
02:05 Did I ever tell you the story about the Mirror of Erised?"
02:09 "Okay, son.
02:11 Second year.
02:12 It's a big year.
02:13 My second year was tough, but you'll do better.
02:14 I remember our defense against the dark arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockhart.
02:18 Did your mother ever tell you about him?
02:20 Of course, that was the year I saved her life."
02:22 Something along those lines.
02:24 If you're gonna use Harry's son, then Harry needs to function as the struggling
02:28 father figure.
02:29 Think about it.
02:30 He's the most famous wizard who's ever lived.
02:32 He saved the world.
02:34 His school experience was unlike any other.
02:37 So as amazing as his life story has been, he is woefully ill-equipped to connect with
02:42 his son, or anybody, on a regular level.
02:46 Hearing his father's exploits over and over again should place pressure on Albus to live
02:51 up to his father's iconic stature.
02:53 That way, his complete and utter failure at wizardry in his first few years will have
02:58 a greater impact.
03:00 Albus should act as a bit of a character foil to Harry.
03:03 As a wizard, Albus should be a dud.
03:06 We should see him struggle to cast the most basic of spells.
03:09 We should witness him making a conscious effort to avoid trouble, to avoid being a hero.
03:15 Albus as a failed wizard is the opposite of the audience's expectations, and thus it
03:20 becomes more compelling to watch.
03:22 Every main character needs a story arc.
03:25 Albus's story is the story of failed expectations.
03:28 At Hogwarts, Albus earns the nickname "the cursed child" because of his total inability
03:33 to perform some of the most rudimentary skills required of wizardry.
03:37 To be honest, I like the way that the West End play sets Albus's characterization up.
03:42 He's moody, he lacks leadership skills, he has trouble making the right decisions,
03:47 and has a general lack of self-confidence.
03:49 This is gold.
03:50 In our story, we'll play this up more.
03:52 So let's head to scene 5.
03:54 I've said before, this is the most squandered opportunity of the entire stage play.
03:59 It takes place in Harry's office at the Ministry of Magic.
04:02 Hermione, the new minister, is busily cleaning up Harry's desk when he walks in, sporting
04:06 a fresh cut on his cheek.
04:08 Harry's a big bad wizard detective nowadays, and he's just back from his recent mission.
04:13 As the scene is written in the original script, the two share some playful banter back and
04:17 forth, we get some exposition about a time-turner, and that's pretty much it.
04:22 Harry heads home.
04:23 So here's how my fix starts to really change things.
04:26 In the original script, midway through Harry and Hermione's conversation, we get this
04:30 weird moment between the two where she offers him some toffee to eat.
04:34 Maybe it's just the way my mind works, but when I first read that part, my mind immediately
04:38 went, "Wait a minute, are they having an affair?"
04:40 Guess what, in my version, they absolutely are.
04:43 In my version, "toffee" is a little code word they use around the office.
04:47 Get it?
04:48 Harry turns the offer down, he's not really feeling up for it at the moment, and they
04:52 continue their usual conversation.
04:54 So we place little subtle innuendos like this throughout the next few scenes, never explicitly
04:59 stating that they have something going on until we show it later.
05:02 Doing this leaves the audience at the edge of their seats in anticipation any time these
05:07 two share a scene together.
05:08 The audience is thinking to themselves the whole time, "Wait a minute, are they or
05:12 aren't they?"
05:13 Why add an affair subplot?
05:15 Simple, because it immediately raises the stakes of the story.
05:18 In Thorne and Tiffany's version, they really only develop the new characters.
05:22 The original trio, they take a back seat.
05:25 That makes the Cursed Child seem less like a passing of the torch and more like a cheap
05:29 fanfic.
05:30 Somebody should have clued Thorne and Tiffany into something.
05:32 Nobody bought tickets to see the misadventures of Harry's son.
05:36 They want to see Harry.
05:37 It's his name in the title, you dig?
05:39 So give him and the characters we grew up with something to do during the story.
05:44 Expand them as characters, give them a new and interesting conflict.
05:48 Quit playing it safe by only really raising the stakes for characters we don't really
05:52 care about.
05:53 The introduction of Harry and Hermione carrying on a secret affair not only gives a little
05:58 fan service to folks who supported the pairing, but also establishes that Harry, Ron, and
06:03 Hermione aren't little kids anymore.
06:06 They've got grown-up problems.
06:07 And in a grown-up world, not everything's always black and white.
06:11 Good versus bad.
06:12 Harry versus Valdi.
06:13 If I had turned the page of my book and found out that Harry and Hermione had a secret side
06:18 thing going on, I would have immediately been like, "You've gotta be kidding me, they're
06:22 actually gonna give us a mature love triangle in a Harry Potter story."
06:26 Turns out, nope, she's seriously just offering him candy to eat.
06:30 Do things my way, we change that.
06:32 So they continue on in their conversation and Harry gives his report.
06:36 A group of masked vigilantes stole an ancient magical artifact from a museum in, I dunno,
06:42 Nocturne Alley or someplace.
06:43 What's the artifact?
06:44 No idea.
06:45 Don't know, don't care.
06:46 Maybe it's a Deathly Hallow, maybe it's some weird mind-control necklace, maybe a
06:50 ring that gives the wearer the ability to petrify or curse people.
06:54 It doesn't really matter.
06:55 We just need some kind of object to get the conflict going.
06:58 We'll call it the Magical MacGuffin.
07:00 Harry was able to stop a few of the thieves and arrest them, but the leader of the group
07:04 got away with the MacGuffin.
07:05 Harry plans to interrogate those captured and find out what the master thief is planning,
07:10 finish the scene off by having Hermione looking longingly into his eyes or some such nonsense,
07:15 and bidding him goodnight and good luck with his investigation.
07:18 Harry hops in the telephone booth and leaves, cut to black, scene over, and immediately
07:22 the story is ten times better than the one we had before.
07:25 The audience has all kinds of questions swirling around in their heads, and they're glued
07:29 to the story.
07:30 Are Harry and Hermione secretly an item?
07:33 Does Ron know?
07:34 What happens if he finds out?
07:35 What happens when he finds out?
07:37 What happens when Ginny finds out?
07:39 Who is this new, mysterious enemy?
07:41 What's the Magical MacGuffin gonna be used for?
07:43 And how do all the kids factor into this?
07:46 Think about it, were you asking any of those types of questions at the end of this scene
07:50 as it's originally written?
07:52 Nah.
07:53 The lights lift up, and we're at platform 9 and 3/4 with Harry prepping Al for year
07:57 number 4.
07:58 Same routine.
07:59 "Ah, fourth year.
08:00 Big year.
08:01 In my fourth year, the Triwizard Tournament happened.
08:02 Did I ever tell you about my friend Cedric Diggory?"
08:05 "Yes, Dad.
08:06 Everyone tells me all the time."
08:08 And at that point in our story, Cedric Diggory's name is never uttered again.
08:14 While getting everybody set for their next year at Hogwarts, Al and Harry finally have
08:18 it out.
08:19 Picture the big blow-up the two had in Thorne and Tiffany's version.
08:22 Except, in our story, it doesn't take place at the Potter's house in Al's room.
08:26 It takes place right here, right on the platform, in the middle of everything, surrounded by
08:31 the hustle and bustle of all the wizarding families in Britain.
08:34 Everybody stops what they're doing, they turn, and they watch the two scream at each
08:38 other.
08:39 A few folks from the Daily Prophet are there, and they start snapping photos of the argument.
08:42 It's a total disaster.
08:44 Right at the climax of the fight, there's a huge explosion.
08:50 The vigilantes swarm in, and the platform is suddenly under attack.
08:54 Harry instinctively moves to protect his son, and a huge firefight breaks out.
08:59 Maybe Al even steps in to try and help Al, but he's quickly disarmed and nearly killed
09:03 by one of the terrorists.
09:05 In a split second, Harry has to save his son's life.
09:08 And in a flash of parental protection, he doesn't hit the assailant with a stupefying.
09:12 He uses the big bad unforgivable one for the first time in his life.
09:18 The attacker drops dead right at the feet of Albus.
09:21 The masked menaces turn tail and flee, but not before putting up a dark mark.
09:25 Kill all the lights in the theater.
09:27 The only light that the audience can see is the green skull up in the rafters.
09:32 We then quietly begin to hear various news reports about the event.
09:36 Whispers that Voldemort has returned, Harry being investigated for using the unforgivable
09:41 curse, and a few tabloid stories about he and Al getting into a fight just before the
09:46 incident.
09:47 The whole thing climaxes in a familiar whisper from the Dark Lord himself.
09:57 Harry snaps awake the next morning in a cold sweat.
10:00 He has a heart to heart with Ginny, and then heads to the trial.
10:03 Hermione manages to pull a few political strings, and Harry avoids any real charges.
10:08 The ministry then convenes.
10:10 They have to try and figure out a plan to face this new enemy.
10:13 The MacGuffin is allowing the assailant to avoid capture, and Harry leads the investigation
10:19 to track down the culprit.
10:20 Next scene then takes us back to Hogwarts.
10:22 Al, Scorpius, and Rose are all trying their best to put the events at the train station
10:27 behind them as they start their fourth year.
10:30 Turns out there's a new transfer student, named Delphi.
10:33 She looks a little older for her age, and pretty soon Al and Scorpi are both smitten
10:38 beyond words.
10:39 Delphi's put in Ravenclaw, or some such, and pretty soon she's turning up the charm
10:43 to Eleven to try and woo the son of Harry Potter.
10:46 I'm not getting paid to give you all the play-by-play, so I'll just hit the highlights
10:50 of the rest of the story.
10:51 You get an A plot and a B plot.
10:53 Team Young Guns and Team OG.
10:54 While Harry and company are trying to solve the mystery of the new big baddie, Al, Scorpius,
10:59 and Rose are getting into more and more hijinks as the year goes on, Delphi in the middle
11:03 of all of it.
11:04 See, Al's boring school days are at an end once she comes on the scene.
11:08 Like near-death mishaps like "Turn her all in the dungeon!" but of a slightly more
11:13 PG-13 variety.
11:15 Delphi gets Al to sneak out of the castle one night for a little romantic rendezvous,
11:19 and before they know it they're cornered in the Forbidden Forest by the Masked Menaces.
11:23 I really need to come up with a better name than Masked Menaces.
11:26 How about the New Death Eaters?
11:27 I guess that works.
11:28 They end up being rescued by Headmistress McGonagall, if you really need a cameo, and
11:33 despite Al's best efforts, he's quickly becoming bad news bears around the castle.
11:37 While all that's going on, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Jenny are on the trail of the enemy and
11:42 investigating a slew of murders.
11:45 Seems like the New Death Eaters are hunting down one by one some of the key figures that
11:49 led to the fall of Valdi.
11:51 Former Death Eaters, Turncoats, Aurors, all of them are winding up dead, thanks in part
11:56 to the magic skill boost of the MacGuffin.
11:58 Part 1 should end something like this.
12:00 Team OG finds out that the leader of the New Death Eaters is actually, you guessed it,
12:04 Delphi.
12:05 She's not some transfer student, but a 50 or 60 year old sorceress who's using the
12:10 MacGuffin to operate into and out of Hogwarts undetected, all the while using ancient wizardry
12:16 to mask her appearance.
12:17 About that time, Rose finds out the truth on her own and confronts her.
12:23 Delphi attacks Rose, but a feuding Scorpius and Al get there just in time to have her
12:28 back.
12:29 Harry and crew show up as well, and we've got an all out showdown.
12:31 During the battle, Delphi curses either Ginny or Ron with some unknown spell and then gets
12:37 away.
12:38 Curtain falls with Rose rescued, Harry or Hermione holding their significant other in
12:42 their arms, and the future uncertain.
12:47 Part 2 is the fallout.
12:48 Ginny or Ron is in constant pain and torture from Delphi's curse.
12:53 They're sent off to St. Mungo's, and it looks like there's no real hope for them
12:56 to be cured, at least until Delphi is defeated.
12:59 Harry and Hermione are forced to come clean about their affair to their respective families,
13:04 and Ginny or Ron, whichever one isn't cursed, obviously, packs their bags and leaves, unable
13:09 to forgive them for the betrayal.
13:11 Hermione faces huge political backlash for the attack at Hogwarts, and Al, guilt ridden
13:16 by the fact that a Death Eater deceived him, sets out with Scorpius and Rose to get their
13:20 revenge.
13:21 Hermione's main political opponent, let's use this guy, hires private investigators
13:26 to dig up dirt to try and oust her as minister, as the opposition party no longer feels she
13:31 has the ability to lead in the face of the new enemy.
13:35 Guess what they find?
13:36 Yeah.
13:37 They blackmail Harry and Hermione about the affair, and both of them resign to avoid the
13:41 public finding out.
13:43 Our heroes have now either lost all their power or direction.
13:47 Delphi continues her reign of terror on the world at large, and soon gains a reputation
13:51 on par with you-know-who himself.
13:54 Either way you slice it or dice it, each one of those scenes I just described is grounds
13:59 for amazing dialogue and character development that rivals, and in some cases exceeds, that
14:04 of the original books.
14:05 Point is, everything is broken in the beginning of Part 2, and it looks like all hope is lost.
14:11 The Young Ones' road trip adventure puts them face to face with some truly evil enemies,
14:15 and they level up along the way.
14:17 Al gains a new perspective on how hard life is and was for his pops, and the two inevitably
14:23 reconnect.
14:24 Harry is fresh out of a job, but he's still pulling a few strings and getting info on
14:28 where Delphi might be, to exonerate himself.
14:31 So at the climax, father and son finally make up and join up, and Team Young Ones and Team
14:36 OG work together to track down Delphi, and there's a final showdown, in which the group
14:40 is rescued at the last minute either by Ron or Ginny, whichever spouse left at the beginning
14:45 of Part 2, and the battle is won.
14:48 Our story ends with Delphi defeated, curse reversed, MacGuffin destroyed, order restored,
14:53 and the day saved.
14:54 But Harry and company, they still have to figure out all the personal stuff and emotional
14:58 repercussions, and when we drop the curtain, the entire group, bruised and wounded in more
15:03 ways than one, agrees to work together to pick up the pieces of all that was broken.
15:08 So there you go, The Cursed Child, if I had a crack at rewriting it.
15:12 Here's why I think my version works better.
15:14 First, not to beat a dead horse, but most obviously, no more time travel.
15:18 I went into great detail in my first video about why the Time Turner plotline cheapens
15:23 the story and becomes an albatross that weighs the entire show down.
15:27 Don't worry, not gonna repeat that whole spiel again.
15:29 The point is, with alternate universes and timelines out of the way, we can get back
15:32 to the roots of what makes Harry Potter great.
15:35 Harry Potter books are great because Harry Potter books are mysteries disguised as fantasy
15:40 novels.
15:41 Harry Potter and the Cursed Child fails because it's a time travel story disguised as a
15:46 Harry Potter story.
15:47 My version puts the focus back on the mystery, and instead of the Wizarding World equivalent
15:52 of the Butterfly Effect, we've got a noirish whodunit with a bit of forbidden romance
15:57 on the side, and a little boarding school adventuring peppered in for an added kick.
16:01 Secondly, this rewrite works because it pays respect to the original heroes.
16:06 In the West End play right now, the old crew comes off as clueless, hapless, and profoundly
16:11 unproductive.
16:12 I mean, Harry's supposedly the best detective in the Wizarding World, yet he does no sleuthing,
16:18 gets to the bottom of nothing, and spends more time in his pajamas than he does fighting
16:22 dark wizards.
16:23 My version changes all that.
16:25 In this version, Harry's on the case.
16:27 He's got plenty of action scenes to get our nostalgic hearts pumping.
16:30 Harry's the title character.
16:32 He needs to be in it.
16:34 I understand wanting to introduce a new generation of characters, but that doesn't have to
16:38 come at the expense of the old ones.
16:40 In the West End version, we rarely see Ginny, and we barely see Ron, who, I would remind
16:46 you, was part of the original trio.
16:48 He deserves stage time.
16:49 He deserves a storyline.
16:51 West End delegates him to just a few minutes of comic relief.
16:54 My version puts both characters right in the middle of the plot as the victims of infidelity.
16:59 This gives them plenty of meaty scenes to work with as they discover the affair.
17:04 And I might add, it makes one of them the last-minute hero at the end.
17:07 The lack of Ron?
17:08 It's actually a symptom of a greater problem with Thorne and Tiffany's screenplay, which
17:12 is a severe lack of character development.
17:15 Nobody really grows during their story, at least not in a way that feels meaningful.
17:20 Rose is underwritten, Scorpius and Albus' friendship feels overwritten, and Harry, Ron,
17:25 and Hermione just feel like a footnote.
17:28 All that time travel stuff is a waste of, well, time, that could be better used giving
17:32 both the old crew and the new crew space to explore character flaws and overcome personal
17:38 challenges.
17:39 You can't tell me watching Hermione get muscled out of her job as Minister for Magic
17:44 as she struggles to cover up an extramarital affair while battling a radical group of anarchist
17:50 dark wizards running amok in Britain is less interesting than a pointless time travel rescue
17:55 of Cedric Diggory.
17:56 Look, I'm just saying, if it were me and I was allowed to write a canon story featuring
18:00 the characters of Harry Potter, you better believe I'ma put him through some stuff.
18:05 It's an awesome universe and characters that almost all fiction readers are familiar
18:09 with.
18:10 If you're a writer, that's an amazing opportunity.
18:14 If you've got permission to use the characters, then use them.
18:17 That leads me to reason three I prefer my way.
18:20 My story has stakes.
18:21 No more of this time travel tomfoolery.
18:24 The story conflict shouldn't be an etch-a-sketch that you get to wipe clean at the end of every
18:28 scene.
18:29 Each choice made by the characters should mean something.
18:33 There should be some fallout from the action, and in my version there is.
18:37 Hermione loses her job, Harry's family becomes tabloid fodder, both of their spouses lose
18:43 faith in them, and their kids have a very real chance of dying if the bad guy isn't
18:48 stopped.
18:49 In my version, there are serious narrative consequences for every failure.
18:53 See, look, at the end of the day, you're not allowed to end your story with "they
18:57 lived happily ever after."
18:59 Thorne and Tiffany's cursed child leaves no lingering effects, and as a consequence,
19:04 you don't have very many unanswered questions or speculation about the future.
19:08 My version leaves the characters triumphant, but never the same.
19:12 The audience walks away from my take wanting to know what happens next.
19:17 That's the mark of a winner-winner chicken dinner, if I do say so myself.
19:21 Reason #4 - My version creates a memorable new villain.
19:24 The West End cursed child screenplay suffers from the same problem most continuation of
19:29 huge sagas suffer from.
19:30 They can't get out of the shadow of the original bad guy.
19:34 You see it in Star Wars, and you see it here.
19:36 The big plot twist of Thorne and Tiffany's cut is that Delphi is the illegitimate offspring
19:41 of Voldemort.
19:42 Now, this doesn't work for a ton of reasons.
19:44 If you want 'em line by line, just look for the longest and most drawn-out comments
19:47 by die-hard continuity nerds on my first video.
19:50 Delphi is Voldy's daughter makes her seem like a second-string villain.
19:54 I mean, think about it, her only objective is to just bring back another bad guy?
19:58 How does that make her come off as threatening?
20:00 Here's a quick story hint, if your new villain's only mission is to resurrect the villain
20:05 that came before them, you need to come up with a more compelling villain, my friend.
20:10 Truth is, West End Delphi stinks.
20:12 She needs to establish herself as an antagonist in her own right, and make the audience believe
20:17 she'll be able to carry on the legacy of evil.
20:20 My Delphi has no connection to Voldemort, other than, I dunno, maybe using a MacGuffin
20:24 he created.
20:25 She's not some twenty-something girl with daddy issues.
20:28 In my version, she's an old, dark witch who manipulates others and works in the shadows
20:33 to create chaos and destruction.
20:35 You know what, make her a hundred years old if you want.
20:37 Make her ancient, an enemy older and even more experienced than you-know-who.
20:42 Voldemort shouldn't be a crutch that all future bad guys have to lean on.
20:46 Use The Cursed Child to show that villains outside of his orbit can still be compelling
20:50 and threatening in their own right.
20:52 Final reason I like my take?
20:54 It strikes a healthy balance between old-school nostalgia and new-school novelty.
20:58 See, audience members really just want two things out of The Cursed Child.
21:02 First, we want to catch up with the characters we've come to care about over the years.
21:06 And second, we want to recapture the charm and feel of the original story.
21:11 Focusing on two main plotlines that influence each other accomplishes this to a satisfying
21:15 degree.
21:16 Team OG's story gives you a look at the adult forms of our favorite characters and
21:20 puts them in new and unique situations that test them in a way we've never seen before.
21:24 Meanwhile, Team Young One's story harkens back to the school days of yesteryear as Albus,
21:29 Scorpius, and Rose get into hijinks and exploits of their own.
21:32 Maybe it's just my interpretation, but West End's story has a tendency to feel like the
21:36 action is always happening elsewhere.
21:39 And it feels like the more compelling story is always taking place just off-screen.
21:43 My rewrite lets us see our old heroes in action, and our new heroes get a coming-of-age story
21:49 to boot.
21:50 Now, look, you don't have to agree with this fix 100%.
21:53 Maybe some parts you like, some parts you hate, and that's fine.
21:56 Point of this vid was to show how the mediocre script currently being used can easily be
22:00 retooled into something far more compelling.
22:03 Matter of fact, if the powers that be want to take this pitch and use it themselves,
22:07 they can have it.
22:08 The only thing I ask for is front row tickets to the show, also use of this guy for an original
22:12 short film, and a large order of curly fries from Arby's.
22:16 In that order.
22:17 Look, I'm not stupid enough to actually think that my fix is gonna change anything,
22:21 that's not how showbiz works, but for real, if anybody can prove that this video gets
22:26 watched by Rolling, Thorn, Tiffany, or any of the show's cast or crew, you'll get
22:30 your own star on my channel's hall of fame.
22:33 I want to reiterate, as I did in the last video, that I don't doubt the quality of
22:37 the stage play itself.
22:39 The cast and crew working on The Cursed Child right now is top notch.
22:42 My problems with the story should in no way detract from the highly skilled team working
22:47 to bring the show to life.
22:48 These guys are professionals, they're way better than me, and in absolutely no way do
22:53 I claim to know what I'm talking about.
22:55 All I know is, I started reading The Cursed Child with high hopes, and when I closed the
22:59 book, for the first time ever, I walked away disappointed in something from the Wizarding
23:04 World universe.
23:05 So, how do you feel about The Cursed Child?
23:09 Do you agree with my fix?
23:10 And most importantly, if you were handed the keys, what would you do differently?
23:15 [music]
23:20 Oh, that was a long video to put together.
23:22 Thanks for watching, folks!
23:24 Share it if you want, I guess, and like it too.

23:30 Or don't.
23:31 I don't really care.
