Tension breaks out in land dispute in New Manila

Tension breaks out in an ongoing land dispute in New Manila in Quezon City on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 when the owner of the property, Marina Veloso Galenzoga, and her lawyer, blocked a sheriff from executing a court order that would have evicted her. The other party in the dispute is Titan Dragon Properties Corp, which was reported to have acquired the seven-hectare land. Galenzoga's lawyer said an appeal has been filed, which has yet to be acted on by the court.
