00:00 You know, I be seeing on Twitter and stuff,
00:02 people are like, "Oh, he just does the same drills
00:04 "with everyone."
00:05 It's like, no, it's actually every player's
00:06 doing a different drill.
00:07 [upbeat music]
00:10 So Jimmy Butler, his workout routine
00:13 is also a little different.
00:15 Before we did our first workout,
00:16 he's fired or let go of his last four or five trainers
00:20 because they just wanted to shoot threes with him
00:22 and they just wanted to work on dribble moves
00:25 and that's not Jimmy's game.
00:26 Jimmy's game is finishing.
00:29 He's someone that needs his touch.
00:31 So like we start the workout out
00:32 and we're shooting just different shots in the paint,
00:34 different shots around the paint.
00:36 His big thing is if I'm making those shots around the paint,
00:39 then all my other shots are gonna be going.
00:40 So if you actually were to watch a game
00:42 and he starts the game off
00:43 and he makes a few shots around the paint,
00:45 he's gonna have a hot night that night.
00:46 His big thing is we need to work out the night
00:48 before a game, so I'll be in rhythm the next day.
00:51 And that's why I was traveling around with the team.
00:54 I think this past year I might've stayed at his house
00:56 more than I stayed at my house.
00:57 We became very close.
00:59 At the end of the day, being a trainer,
01:01 I'm not the reason why these players
01:03 are doing these great things,
01:05 but I feel like I can just add stuff for their mental
01:09 and little things in their game for their confidence.
01:11 And it was cool to see Jimmy have the most efficient year
01:15 of his career this past year.
01:16 And to the media, he told them that it was because of me.
01:20 So that was really cool.
