00:29 But let's talk about how impressive and unprecedented this feat from Cruel Summer

00:33 is, number freaking 1 a whole 5 freaking years after the song was freaking written.

00:44 I do fully consider Cruel Summer to be the best song Killer has ever written and it

00:56 be my number 1 song one day once nostalgia really hits later in life and Cruel Summer

01:01 takes me back to my college days which are still really fresh right now, but I do think

01:06 Taylor had some revisionist history in this post because as much as Taylor and Jack say

01:10 here that Cruel Summer was their favorite song, their pride joy on the Love Her album,

01:14 "From 5 years ago, the song that we said was the best song but we thought, oh you know

01:19 what this is going to be our secret best song, that's what we thought."

01:22 So I can't help but think we as fans actually made this song into what it is and Taylor

01:26 kind of played off of that.

01:34 Again I'm always frank on this channel and I think we know Taylor wanted to push me a

01:38 lot on Love Her with Rainbows and all that other crazy stuff and when fans rejected it,

01:43 Taylor just shut the song down, I mean she still hasn't played it at the Aeros tour,

01:50 fans started talking up Cruel Summer because we loved it so much and that's a testament

01:53 to how powerful this fanbase really is, we make her the music industry, we have a ton

01:59 of power too and getting Cruel Summer to number 1 is a testament to that.

02:16 However we do need to talk about the easter eggs in this video because yes of course you

02:23 eggs but this one is actually interesting because it involves Ellie Conway and the book

02:28 going to be movie Argyle and how Taylor is doing this, which essentially mimics the cat
