00:00 Going into the Rugby World Cup this year, England were considered no hopers.
00:07 They had been humiliated in some of their warm-up matches and were going into the tournament
00:11 with zero confidence whatsoever.
00:14 And yet, a pool stage that saw no defeats and some impressive wins, especially against
00:19 Argentina, gave them hope.
00:22 They then went into the quarter-finals and defeated a Fiji side who had beaten England
00:27 at Twickenham not long earlier in the World Cup warm-up matches.
00:32 They then faced South Africa, the reigning champions, who had defeated England in the
00:35 final four years ago.
00:37 Despite a heartbreaking one-point loss for England, they had done themselves proud.
00:42 Wales, like England, also came into the tournament low on confidence.
00:46 However, positive results soon gave them hope and they reached the knockout stages.
00:51 There, they lost disappointingly to Argentina, meaning work still to be done in Welsh rugby.
