00:00 More than 400 people were killed in the Israeli airstrikes
00:03 in the past 24 hours by the Health Ministry of Gaza.
00:07 Humanitarian aid has already been provided,
00:10 but it is still not enough according to the United Nations.
00:14 From Cairo, Egypt,
00:15 please welcome Rafi Thima.
00:18 It's past 6 p.m. here in Cairo,
00:25 and you're right, Pia,
00:26 the aid that's coming in is really not enough because of the many needs
00:31 and the long absence of essential supplies in Gaza.
00:34 It is being planned how to speed up the inspection of the Israeli military
00:37 for the trucks that are coming in to Gaza
00:40 so that the aid that's needed can be delivered quickly.
00:43 In the past 24 hours,
00:49 more than 300 targets were hit by the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza
00:52 according to the Israel Defense Force.
00:54 This includes a tunnel used by Hamas fighters
00:57 and dozens of command and lookout posts.
01:00 According to the IDF,
01:01 they are destroying locations that could be a danger to troops
01:05 who are preparing around Gaza to perform ground maneuvers.
01:09 According to Israel,
01:10 their target is missile launch sites near schools and mosques.
01:14 According to Palestinian media,
01:18 many of the Israeli strikes hit the middle and lower parts of Gaza,
01:23 including one in the Gaza City community,
01:26 and some refugee camps,
01:30 and some mosques.
01:34 According to the Gaza Health Ministry,
01:38 more than 5,000 people were killed
01:40 and more than 15,000 injured in the Israeli bombing
01:43 on October 7.
01:45 This is the number of people killed in the attack by Hamas in Israel,
01:48 which is around 1,400.
01:51 The smoke from the explosions
01:53 was seen from the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt.
01:56 The bombing was experienced again.
01:58 Since this Saturday,
02:00 when the crossing was opened for humanitarian aid,
02:03 three convoys of trucks entered Gaza.
02:06 On Saturday and Sunday,
02:07 more than 30 trucks passed through.
02:10 But according to the United Nations,
02:12 100 trucks are needed every day
02:14 for the primary needs of the people of Gaza.
02:17 The continued shortage of supplies
02:19 is felt by our fellow citizens in Gaza,
02:21 whose name is Diana.
02:23 The line to the bakeries is long.
02:25 The fight between the shortage of ingredients for making bread
02:28 is inevitable.
02:30 It is not yet certain
02:32 when the exit of the refugees in Gaza will be allowed,
02:35 including more than 100 Filipinos.
02:38 But our embassy in Jordan hopes
02:40 that it will inform the Filipinos in Gaza
02:43 that it is possible to follow the agreement
02:45 to open the border for the refugees.
02:47 One of the Filipinos there is Madre,
02:49 who was in Gaza before the war started.
02:51 She has decided to stay in Gaza
02:55 together with her fellow nuns
02:57 to continue her charitable and religious work in Gaza.
03:03 We also included her name in the list of Filipino nationals
03:07 that we sent to the Philippine embassy in Cairo
03:12 for transmittal to the Egyptian government
03:14 just in case there will be a chance for her to leave.
03:18 The Philippine has already taken care of her wounds
03:23 after the kitchen of her house was blown up.
03:26 She has recovered from her wounds
03:29 and that she and her family of seven children,
03:33 all minors, have relocated to Rafaqah,
03:38 which is very near the border crossing to Egypt.
03:42 [music]
03:47 The embassies in Jordan are now worried
03:50 that if the Rafaqah border is closed for the refugees
03:54 to leave, our fellow Filipinos will be more at risk
03:58 inside Gaza.
04:00 Of the 156 Filipinos in Gaza,
04:03 53 are hesitating to leave
04:05 because their spouses will be left behind.
04:07 But others are still hesitant to go to the border
04:11 once it is opened.
04:13 They were just allowed to bring their marriage certificates
04:16 to prove that their entire family has fled Gaza.
04:20 And live from Cairo, Egypt,
04:22 for GMA Integrated News,
04:24 Rafi Timang, your witness.
