00:00 >> Here in victory lane with the winning crew chief at homestead Miami speedway.
00:03 He's got a bottle of champagne.
00:04 Adam Stevens just celebrated with the crew.
00:07 It was an up and down day for the 20, I feel like.
00:10 You caught some heck of a shot there in the final stage.
00:12 What did you feel atop the pit box?
00:15 >> Desperation at one point.
00:16 I mean, we made a change there and it just went the wrong way.
00:19 It didn't do nearly at all what we thought it did and we paid the price that whole second
00:23 stage.
00:24 Thankfully we got it back out and it woke the car up and we had to work on it a little
00:27 bit more.
00:28 We did a couple really good restarts and made some ground.
00:31 Once we got back up solid in the top ten it seemed like we could run with them a little
00:34 bit.
00:35 Then a couple of the front runners had some issues and we took advantage.
00:38 >> I don't want to say you called your shot but last week you and Christopher both talked
00:41 that this was going to be the week and then you obviously had martinsville but you rebounded
00:46 from Las Vegas.
00:48 How did you do it?
00:49 How did you keep the mindset, keep your driver engaged enough to get this win today?
00:52 >> When the season starts the goal is to win the championship.
00:56 Coming up to the event last week took that away from us.
01:00 We still had that opportunity in front of us.
01:02 We had a great weekend.
01:03 We just didn't win.
01:04 We had the speed to win.
01:05 It just didn't work out for us.
01:08 Looking forward we felt like if we kept doing what we're capable of, good things would happen.
01:12 >> Have you told your driver he needs to write a book on how to win in pressure filled situations?
01:16 Last season he pulls the rabbit out of his hat in the final two rounds to make it to
01:20 the championship board.
01:21 Now he's there again.
01:22 Your driver is pretty good in pressure filled situations.
01:24 >> He is.
01:25 The more you lean on him the better he does.
01:27 I think he could write a book but he's not writing a damn book until he's done.
01:31 >> Congratulations.
01:32 We'll see you in Phoenix.
