00:00 Right, good morning everyone and welcome to our High Street reopening event. I'm Councillor
00:06 Alison Cooper and I'm Chair of Arran District Council and I'd like to thank you all for
00:10 coming here today to help us to celebrate the completion of the Public Realms works
00:14 with us today. So much effort has gone into improving the look and feel of the Town Centre.
00:20 We appreciate the efforts of Edge Burton's team as well as the patience and understanding
00:24 of local businesses enormously. The partners signed up to the Town Centre strategy are
00:30 committed to improving Little Hampton and ensuring it becomes a place that is welcoming,
00:35 safe and vibrant. Understandably you will have some questions about the future plans
00:40 for the town so please take the opportunity to speak to Councillors or officers of various
00:45 councils who are in attendance at the event today. Unfortunately due to the bad weather
00:51 we will be moving the event to the Manor House immediately after this ribbon cutting session.
00:57 So although we won't have a full programme of activities you will still be able to enjoy
01:00 performances from the children's entertainer Nolan Davis and free arts workshop, free face
01:07 painting and a character meet and greet. Little Hampton Town Council are also launching the
01:13 Love Local Prize draw scheme today. You will collect a sticker each time you spend £5

01:33 November and December for a chance to win £500. Pick up your loyalty card from the
