00:00 Hello and welcome back to enbrunews.com. I'm Neil Johnston, a reporter at the
00:05 Enbru Evening News and these are some of the top stories you can find on our
00:08 website today. The Met Office has forecast heavy rain and wind speeds of
00:14 over 40 miles per hour today with our yellow weather warning being issued for
00:18 the weekend. After a wet start to the day where there's a 90% chance of rain, the
00:23 weather is expected to change to overcast by lunchtime where the chance
00:27 of rain falls to 10% between 1 and 2 p.m. But heavy rain is set to return
00:32 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. where there will be an 80% chance of rain and wind
00:37 speeds picking up to around 30 miles per hour. The Met Office has issued a yellow
00:43 weather warning for winds between 12 p.m. on Friday 20th of October until 12 p.m.
00:48 on Saturday 21st of October with strong winds and heavy rain forecast on both
00:54 days before a slightly brighter day on Sunday that sees intermittent showers
00:58 and reduced wind speeds. Edinburgh City Council has raked in more than £2
01:03 million from bus lane fines between 2022 and 2023, a 20% increase on the
01:10 previous year. More than 70,000 penalty charge notices were handed out to
01:15 motorists for driving in bus lanes, a significant rise of the record 58,000
01:20 issued in 2021 and 2022. This has led Tory transport spokeswoman Marie Claire
01:28 Munro to say that changes in road layouts across the city and poor signage
01:32 were the reason for the increase. Transport convener Scott Arthur said
01:36 "Ideally we would hope that bus lane cameras would not raise any income
01:40 because we want drivers to obey the law and help ensure public transport can
01:44 stay on time" and added "if anyone has any examples of bus lane signage which
01:50 isn't clear I would be happy to discuss this with council officers". And finally
01:55 an Edinburgh pub is hoping to be crowned Scotland's best place for a pint for the
01:59 third time. Kirstorfen pub Winston's is one of three finalists for the beer
02:04 quality award which is handed out annually by the Scottish Licensed Trade
02:08 News in association with tenants. Located at 20 Kirkclone the bar is now hoping to
02:15 make a hat-trick of wins after successes in 2019 and 2022. For all the latest news
