Dramatic moment Russian T-90 tank blown to pieces by Ukraine in key battleground.
One of Russia's main battle tanks seemingly explodes high into the sky in another huge loss for Vladimir Putin's troops.
This is the dramatic moment a Russian T-90 tank exploded into a huge fireball as Kyiv's strengthening counteroffensive continues.
Russian troops have been trying to storm the strategically important city of Avdiivka in eastern Ukraine for several days.
But a new video shared on Twitter by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense shows a tank near the city blown to pieces in another huge blow to Vladimir Putin.
The dramatic clip seemingly shows a T-90 - Russia's main battle tank - travelling across the battlefield before it suddenly explodes, sending thick smoke and debris from the vehicle high into the sky.
Aerial footage then shows the mangled tank burning, with no apparent sign of any survivors.
Ukraine's defence ministry wrote in a caption to accompany the video: "Ukrainian Territorial Defence Forces destroy one more Russian 'no analogue' T-90 near Avdiivka."
The latest devastating loss for Putin comes with the Russian president claiming Ukraine's failures are "simply huge" and that Kyiv's counteroffensive has so far produced "no results".
He told China Media Group, according to comments published by Russian news agency Tass and reported by CNBC: "Since June 4, it [Ukraine’s counteroffensive began] has been continuing. So far there are no results, there are only huge losses.
"The losses are simply huge — approximately one to eight as a ratio."
