84,000 Pregnant Women at Risk in Gaza as Aid Stalled at Rafah Crossing
According to the World Health Organization, 84,000 pregnant women in Gaza are at risk due to the stalled aid at the Rafah crossing.
The WHO spokesperson, Margaret Harris, revealed that there are "78 cubic meters of health supplies, enough for the basic essential needs for 300,000 people," waiting on the Egyptian side of the crossing.
The crossing remains closed due to the unsafe conditions caused by Israeli bombing, preventing the aid from reaching those in need.
The bombings have also caused significant damage to several hospitals, leaving them out of action and further exacerbating the healthcare crisis in Gaza.
With the lives of 84,000 pregnant women hanging in the balance, urgent action is needed to ensure the safe passage of aid to Gaza.
