Housing crisis leaves WA family living in caravan park

As the housing crisis continues more people are being forced out of their homes. One family in WA's south is paying hundreds of dollars a week to live in a caravan park. They say their living situation is preventing their teenage daughters from attending school.

00:41 Her family of four moved out of their rental home when it went up for sale. They camped
00:46 on a farm but were forced to leave by the local council. They now pay $360 a week for
00:52 this site.
00:53 It's quite a lot of work to hide here by themselves. I'm constantly worried about them.

01:05 She's got these dreams that she wants to do, but she can't. She can only do a certain amount
01:10 of it. She can't get full access of schooling.
01:14 A lot of people will have the assumption that because you're homeless you're on drugs or
01:22 you've got an alcohol addiction but it's due to not being able to afford rental pricing.
01:29 The education department says it does not know how many students in WA public schools
01:35 are experiencing homelessness, that it does all it can to support those facing hardship.
